The service at the hotel was the best. Super breakfast with all kinds of open sandwich. I would like to come back in the summer and see all the Lovely flowers and meet the nice people in the village...

Clean and friendly. Close to the city express gondola. On skibus route to nursey slope and another gondola and two cable cars. Close to centre of town. Several restaurants and bars within five minutes casual walk.

Room tip: No lifts. 3 floors so a lower room is preferable.

I spent part of my honeymoon at the Pension Alpenrose. Very fond memories indeed! The rooms are immaculate and the staff wonderful!. Great sauna. Breakfast before hitting the slopes and some weissbier and schnapps in the evening hours while watching TV with the locals. The nearby ski slopes are for all levels of expertise. You can catch a chair just across the street. Many very good restaurants nearby, and VERY friendly to Americans who don't speak German. Take your Bootsie to Pension Alpenrose and step back in time!

Room tip: Face the mountains

We really enjoyed our stay in Pension Alpenrose. Anni was amazing host, chatting with us, so friendly and everything went really well. At the check in she was little bit sad, that there was no room with a balcony available for us, but we didn't mind. We did got a nice corner room in the second floor that had views to two directions.

Room is clean, we got a double bed which was really nice, instead of having two beds pulled together. Tap water was drinkable, so it was very convenient. The breakfast was good. Wifi worked very well.

The minor details that we didn't like in the room were the red and yellow curtains which didn't match with the lime green wall colour. The room would be much fresh looking with for example white curtains. TV on the wall is way to high, when you watch it from the bed, it is so small, so it definitely should be placed lower. But still these were so minor things, that it didn't bother us that much.

The location is very nice. It is 150 m to City Express and 500 m to the city centre and the bus station is 300 m away so very easy to go anywhere.

Lovely location, very friendly welcome from family Gruber, and ideal for easy access to the central and lake side of Zell am See. Good hospitality with honesty bar idea for when you need that cold beer there and then !
Bikers very welcome and had ideal secure garaging for our 2 large Harley Davidsons.
Perfect base to re-charge after a 1000 miles and ready for the next 1000.
Will stay again next time in the area.
