Really good hotel. We had a spacious double room, Austrian style beds and plenty of storage space. Our room at front of hotel but fairly quiet, occasional inconsiderate tourist shouting in early hours. We booked half board and thought the food very good. Excellent spa area with separate sauna/steam room, catering for shy guests who prefer to remain clothed and those who want a naked sauna. Warm outdoor rooftop pool with jacuzzis and great views. Good location, 5-6 minute walk to efficient Penkenbaln lift. Apres ski bars, rentals, supermarket and shops on doorstep. Only criticism, on first night a distinct lack of staff in bar and restaurant, other nights absolutely fine.

The hotel is lacking charm .I have stayed in many Austrian hotels but there is something lacking in this one.Overall the hotel is good but it feels like it is being ran on a tight budget it is probably a three star. There is not enough waiting staff and with no tap water available at dinner 5 euros for a bottle of still water is a bit of a rip off. The staff try hard for the amount there are , the food is good but needs to be refreshed quicker when things run out. The hotel is a 5 minuet walk from the Penekan lift and well located in the Main Street.
The rooms are spacious ,well appointed and maintained. The hotel just lacks charm and needs a bit of a refresh in the corridors and basement areas.

Where to begin?

A fantastic location in the centre of Mayrhofen, with amenities, restaurants, a small supermarket and ski-rental store, all on your doorstep.

Close to all the local aprés ski too, yet far away from the bustle of the night to avoid the commotion.

The hotel is well equipped, a gym, a pool and spa area which rivals that of any resort.

Steam rooms, saunas, a solarium are just a few of the options available; however the star of the show has to be the rooftop swimming pool and jacuzzi. The views from which are truly breathtaking.

This really has to be seen to be believed, stunning views of the mountains and, on a good day, the Ziller Valley. The views trump that of any of the other hotels and makes a stay at Manni Sporthotel worthwhile, even if this were the only reason.

However, the best praise I reserve for the food and the staff. Faultless! The attention and care that went into the evening meals was outstanding. The meals were of excellent quality and makes the half-board option a no-brainer.

Whilst the options are limited and not child-friendly, most will find the food impressive and beyond expectation.

Finally the staff. No amount of praise can do them justice. Everyone we met or spoke to were friendly, genuinely welcoming and took an active interest in our stay and activities.

Between them a plethora of languages are spoken, including English, but they seemed happy to endure my broken German and appreciated the effort.

Please book a stay here, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed in this hotel in August through Thomsons. First thing if you are on half board you dine in the public 'pizza' cafe. Brochure did not mention this. Very short staffed in the cafe and the hotel residents take second priority, one night we had to wait 30 mins between courses. Staff were constantly bickering with each other. We had move room twice due to the loud banging noises from what I think was the pool pumps, when I say loud it was deafening. The staff had different stories with regard to this noise ranging from 'Really ??? that is a fault we have not come across before' to 'Yes we know about it and we are fixing it within the next hour'. If you read other reviews people have had the same experience. The first room move was to the room next door !!!! which appeared to be nearer to the noise. We ate out a few of the nights at 'MO's' bar just down the road, fantastic !!!! Thomson rep did give is 50 euros to eat out one night The roof top pool is fantastic with great views Disapoitning stay

The facilities at this hotel are excellent with the open top pool, sauna's, steam rooms and gym. Rooms are clean and the central location could not be better. However the big let down is the way that half board guests are treated in the restaurant in the evening. Like another reviewer said "half board paying guests play second fiddle to customers". The menu is strictly limited with very little in the way of options and the speed they rush you through the courses indicates they just want to get you in send out as quick as possible. It is not that the food in general in the restaurant is not good, as we could see the wonderful plates of food being taken out to other diners who had come in off the street, it was just that we could not have any of it. This cannot be justified by cost either as for example they could have put some of the hand made pizza's on our menu (they have their own pizza oven) which cost very little to make, but would not do so. Similarly another family asked if they could have pasta for their children as there was nothing on the half board menu they liked. This would have cost pence to produce and no doubt have been cheaper than the standard meal, but apparently this is not allowed. I would certainly be worried about booking this hotel on half board terms if you had a young family as you could end up paying twice (i.e. paying for food off the menu) to get the food that all other young people in the restaurant were clearly enjoying eating.

I would dearly love to come back to this hotel again as in every other respect it is great. But but please Manni treat all your customers as equals, as it will not cost you any more and your reviews will easily be hitting 5 stars time after time.
