We stayed here in August and used it as a base for mountain walking in the Zillertal area. Everything about the hotel is great. Clean comfortable room, good night's sleep, food that would qualify as an excellent meal out in the UK every day. Friendly helpful staff. Everything high quality. We were out most of the time so didn't use the health and fitness facilities - apart from the pool, once.
There is a Spar shop about 200m away where they will make up a filled roll for you if you need pack ups for walking. We did, and know this is useful information.
We got the Ziilertal Active Card though the hotel which gives rides on cable cars, buses, etc. V useful. Lots to do outdoors - we were walking.

We stayed here for the Snowbombing festival and had a fantastic week. We decided to rent a ski locker at the lift station so as not to have to carry skis back and forth each day which was worth every penny (especially slightly hungover!) The hotel is just over a 5 minute pleasant walk from the centre and meant we did get some sleep! There was also a Spar shop at the end of the road as I never made it to breakfast - however by my partners account it was a basic brekkie anyway! We paid extra for the dinner which was traditionally Austrian and 4 courses which filled us up and was definately worth it. The staff were great and really joined in with the spirit. The pool was also fantastic. We would definately stay here again.

We stayed here during our late spring skiing in Hintertux (around 20 minute drive). Great place to stay, typical Alpine style, beatiful setting, clean and worm. Fantastic choice of food for buffet breakfast and too much of volume and variety for dinners. Staff was very friendly, owners greeted us on a very late arrival. Nice wellness center, farm with domestic animals on the property which can be visited at no charge. Minor issue - in our room we could at some times smell a cigarette smoke coming from somewhere.
Would love to come again.

Room Tip: best view towards the back of the building (open field and surrounding hills)

This is a truly great Tirolean hotel - no wonder it's pretty much booked up until Spring ski time. It has retained its charm whilst tastefully modernising itself, without losing its soul. There are some new rooms which are stunners, with balconies and a mezzanine. The pool area and outside terraces are classy and act as a good sound barrier for the busy road nearby. And a great spot to down the thirst-quenching Radlers after a hot ski day on the Hintertux glacier. There are very few kids around which is brilliant.

The hotel is located about 10 mins from the new Penken lift so you are far away from the rowdy town centre but close enough to walk leisurely to and from the lifts.

The hotel has a very tasteful, well-appointed spa area and a good pool without being overly flashy.

The breakfast buffets are overflowing with local produce - just wonderful - and the service is very professional and friendly. Dinner is outstanding, doing the classic Austrian dishes very well without all that nouvelle/gastro rubbish. They cater for anyone with food intolerances and do a good job to create variety and tasty dishes all week.

The in-house ski guide Thomas is 'one in a million'. We can all learn something about life and skiing from Tom. He runs 2-3 guided ski days per week, which are excellent. There's an off-piste day on the glacier for the top skiers which is so much fun. Tom is a very funny guy, a really interesting bloke and an excellent ski guide. Big Thanks Buddy!

This hotel is fantastic in every way. The building looks like one of those beautiful chocolate box houses that you see on post cards and biscuit tins you find in souvenir shops .

The ground floor is very well spect out with the bar directly in front of you(Which even sells Cuban cigars and reception on your left and then there is the dinning room.

All bedrooms are exceptionally clean and include a TV (could be bigger) and a bathrobe. The attached bathroom is also of a good size so you won't get a a bout of clostraphobia. The best rooms are the ones with balconies over looking the swimming pool, but obviously they are more expensive.

The food here is wonderful there are 4 courses and the menu changes daily. One day a week there is a buffet which includes huge chunks of meat and they even serve smoke salmon.

For the really active amongst you and for those of you whom a days skiing is not enough there is a well equipped gym. For lesser mortal there are the steam rooms and the saunas and finally there is the pool which is indoors and outdoors separated by an automatic door.

Oh and the staff are just so helpful and friendly they are nothing short of perfection. In short this hotel would not be out off place in a James Bond movie
