My boyfriend and I recently stayed here on our first trip to New Orleans. After reading other reviews, I booked a courtyard view room in order to avoid any street noise. Though the hotel is only one block from Bourbon St., our room on the 4th floor was extremely quiet and noise was never a problem. The King bed room was spacious, though outdated. We laughed when we saw the ancient TV, but it didn't bother us as we were too busy exploring the city to ever turn it on. I appreciated that even though we left the "do not disturb" sign on our door while out for the day, housekeeping still left a bag of new towels and coffee for us outside the door. The front desk service was my least favorite experience at this hotel. The lady at the desk barely acknowledged us or made any eye contact throughout check-in. She did not offer us a map of the city or point us in the direction of the elevator. The bellmen were extremely helpful and friendly. The first night of our trip, there was a power outage in French Quarter, and when we arrived back at the hotel, a bellman was using a flash light to guide us to the stairwell and up the stairs. All the bellmen were quick to grab us cabs when needed. This hotel is in a perfect location! It is centrally located and a short walk from most places. Overall, it was a nice hotel in a great location, and I would definitely stay here again when I go back to New Orleans!
