So I want to say that the hotel could have gotten a 5 out of me but there was too many little things that made the stay a little awkward.

Check in went smoothly. Had a difficult time using the key card for the elevator. I don't feel the security is as good as needed. The hotel requires a key card to get into the lobby after 11pm and to access the elevator BUT...anyone can access the same floors and hotel courtyard by going the the wine bar next door which is open to the public.

The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Now the negatives... there is a small closet and no dresser. Would recommend the hotel remove the chair/ottoman and add an armorie. We had a Premium King room with a balcony. The noise from Bourbon Street and cars honking because they couldn't get thru Bourbon Street was what caused our stay to be ruined. Upon checkout when we asked if the traffic was normal....we were told it is normal and if we had a problem with it then we could have asked for ear plugs....WHAT? How about leave some in the room. Grrrrrrr.

There is a wine bar right next door... be prepared to spend a small fortune for a glass of wine.

Breakfast is included and is very good.

Overall...average place. Needs to listen their guests and feedback

Very comfortable rooms and exceptional service. The concierge assistance was outstanding. The hotel is less than a block from Bourbon St. but very quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and the beds were quite comfortable. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This property was at a great location within the French Quarter - easily walkable to everywhere within the French Quarter and within easy walking distance to trolley for other locations around New Orleans. Recommend getting a balcony room. The activity from the street was entertaining and it was nice to have a space to step out to. Valet parking was easy to deal with as well.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the activity of the street pick a balcony room.

This was our first trip to New Orleans--strictly a quick vacation with no specific itinerary.

It would be easy to miss the Mazarin as it is far from assuming from the (Bienville) street side. However...when you enter the small, but stylish, lobby it is quickly evident that they have class and professionalism. The staff were helpful and wonderfully organized. Questions? They have answers. Requests? They have solutions.

Our room was on the smallish side (single room and bath) but very nice, well appointed, meticulously clean, and quiet (in the French Quarter this means you don't hear the street sounds, and with Bourbon Street down the block this is VERY important).

A full breakfast was welcome each morning (buffet style) with the possibility of eating in the inside dining room or in the central courtyard which is open to the sky and delightfully planted with fairly large trees. The central fountain adds a nice touch and is a focal point for the many sparrows that flit around the trees and are quick to score muffin crumbs that you might 'accidentally' drop.

The courtyard also acts as a great place to have a cocktail in the evening from the Bar Vin--staffed by some excellent mixologists!

I recommend it without reservation and will make it my go-to accommodation when going back to New Orleans.

Was placed in a room on the 3rd floor and had to take elevator to 2nd floor, get off, go outside and climb 2 flights of stairs to get to our room, this was not satisfactory, (husband 76 years old,l) so they changed room to the 4th floor and was able to get to our room, using elevator. Very thankful!

Dear P6901FIshirleys,

I really appreciate your feedback about your recent stay at the Hotel Mazarin! While most of our petite king rooms require stairs, I am pleased that we were able to move you to another room that was accessible through the elevator. I hope that you can join us again during your next visit to New Orleans!
