Need a central New Orleans hotel for business or vacation that is clean, comfy, totally reliable, with a friendly and helpful staff? Especially one that is supremely located so that the furthest reaches of both the Central Business District and the French Quarter are walkable? (I'm in my mid-sixties - I'm calling two miles in the mid-summer heat and humidity of New Orleans "walkable") Look no further. Rooms are pleasant standard business rooms. Trolley is just outside on Canal Street, it goes all the way to City Park. If on vacation, I suggest one of the multi-day transit passes and you have unlimited rides throughout the city. If on a New Orleans foodie vacation, stay on the upstream side of Canal Street and - in general - you will find (a) better eats at (b) lower prices and (c) a higher fraction of locals that's proof! A single complaint; only once, in our four day stay, did we have to call the front desk to remind housekeeping to make up our room.
