Bartenders are very friendly, although the food was mediocre. Try the burger. After sending my first order back bexause it was still frozen I got a burger and it was good.

This bar is a bit off the beaten path. The hospital is nearby so it's frequented by hospital staff when they get off work. The staff is friendly. Service was okay. You can get food there but I wouldn't go there for that. It's a drinking place for locals.
Nothing special about this place, so it's not worth a visit unless you happen to be in the vicinity

Just after we got there there was a power outage. The thing I learned quickly that people who dealt with things like Katrina don't worry about losing a little power. Candles were lit, service continued on a cash basis. Had a great time! Felt like a camp out!

Handsome Willy's is off the beaten path of tourists, but. it is truly worthy of a visit, if you really want a taste of local!

This former brothel, in a neighborhood that was notorious, this being Storyville, will please the very basic needs when you want simple and delicious! This is the last of these culturally historic buildings, in a neighborhood that is very different than what it once was! The local crowd is fueled by all of the hospitals in the area. The fabled Charity Hospital (which is still closed), still dominates the area, an array of professionals, students, and , service industry workers, are the clientele.

The drinks expertly prepared by Kat and Vic, were served swiftly! These two professionals really handled that busy bar without any hitch! You can get whatever your heart desires, (Bourbon Manhattan's for me), and, incredible bbq and pork covered nachos, which included bacon, cheeses, and, crispy chips, went really well together! This was during a New Orleans Saints game, the place was packed!
I stayed, for the entire game, and, then had chicken tacos! WOW!!!

There is a DJ which played, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's, before and after the game, fun! There is a lot of outdoor space, both in the front and backyard, (it rained that night). I really had a great time, and, didn't spend more than $30.00 for a lot of really good drinks and food!

This is a great little bar. The patio is nice and on Fridays there is free food- and it's actually good food. The bartenders are extremely friendly too. Lots of drink specials. You'll see a lot of hospital employees here on Fridays after work. The music gets louder and crowd gets younger as the night goes on. It's a real cool little place.
