Good thing we had a reservation! And no wonder this place is so popular. Our server was delightful and made us feel like old friends. Loved the atmosphere! The food was deliciously outstanding. Don't miss the Bananas Foster!

This was close to our hotel so we decided to have dinner here. We did not have reservations and were able to get in because we came early. The food was wonderful. Authentic Louisiana cuisine in a very nice environment

I tend to avoid Canal St. places, but this is the exception. And here's the big surprise - the menu understates the amazing dishes they offer. Things sound basic, but they are far better than that. We'll definitely be back for more surprises. Really a terrific place and a shelter from Canal.

They are well known for their menu of wonderful favorites served over the decades. The crab cheese cake was amazing at lunch as was the burger my spouse had. We went back for dinner because I wanted another slice of that wonderful crab cheese cake. Our lunch waitress was charming and cheerful. She even brought us a house copy of their recipe book so we could see how to prepare what we'd ordered.
Sadly dinner wasn't a repeat experience in any way. The crab cheese cake was overcooked, grainy and so even the flavors were off compared to the lunch slice. The muscles were okay, but the liquor lacked the more complex flavor profiles of the ones we had at Luke's or Coterie's. The waitstaff was as indifferent as the food. We did purchase the cook book.
