First night in NOLA. Staying in hotel near to here and on a stroll out found this really great bar & restaurant. We didn't eat here but great bar and fantastic array of spirits beers wines.
Staff really knowledgeable about the various drinks. Perfect for a wind down after a long journey.

Food is actually very good. Fries, shrimp. All very yummy. The problem is that there are no servers so for a couple one of you has to keep going in to either order a drink or food. It felt like we were alone half of the night while the other one went to order something. My suggestion is to order a bottle of wine and it would be less of a problem. Likely more fun in a group. Nice outdoor area for seating. Music inside was quite loud.

After a LONG drive from San Antonio and encountering a lot of traffic (rush hour and 2 accidents), we finally arrived in New Orleans. We were tired and hungry. Our hotel suggested a couple places several blocks away. We decided to venture out on our own close by. We walked into this little wine bar. I was not hopeful the food would be good. I was wrong!! The food was excellent!! I only give it 4 circles because the service was a bit slow and it was pretty loud (ya, we were the oldest people in there - lol). But the food, wine and beer were very good.

We noticed this little place while riding the St. Charles streetcar. The food is surprisingly upscale and delicious. Starter of smoked salmon on corn johnny cakes with sour cream and caviar...WOW. Entree pork crisped in duck fat served with an orange mojo sauce on fried yucca....Double WOW. Dessert, pistachio creme brulee....fall on the floor delicious.

This bar could use some updates but the food and service is great. It is a great place to visit with the large bar that takes up almost the entire place. There is a bit of seating outside but inside is much cooler on a hot day. The atmosphere is very homey and and the prices are ok. This place does not serve your typical bar food, it is upscale and delicious.
