“Why can't every city have one??”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2012

I'd heard from my best friend, a Crescent City native of course, that Clancy's was THE place to dine. An understatement. In a city filled with good restaurants, it was THE best dinner we had in 8 nights. Although we were late for our reservation and the place was jam-packed, the staff was most courteous; we sat at the bar for only 10 minutes and realized immediately that this was no ordinary neighborhood joint. Well-dressed, well-mannered, and well-known, the clientele all seemed to know one another...felt like we were the "new kids in town" but treated like old friends. As for the food, who could resist? Cheese grits and soft shell crabs, tuna and bread pudding, oysters and crawfish and champagne...it turned into a magical evening. With neighbors this nice, we won't be strangers for long !!

“Tucked away neighborhood gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2012

Clancy's is a fine dining place with class and "usual" elderly patrons in attendance. Service is top notch and the food is excellent....drinks are great as well. Here is a place you can sit and linger and it's not a tourist trap. Old style ambience. You won't be disappointed. I hesitate to make this public.
