“Great Value. Great Location. Excellent Choice.”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

As a former resident & frequent visitor of New Orleans, I can safely say that this hotel is above average in all aspects. Perfect for a short stay or an extended visit. Unique & artful (tho somewhat smaller) rooms. Prime location. Safe & well lit area. Quiet rooms @ any hour! (not a common attribute in the quarter)

The parking was about $25-$30 per day in a lot directly behind the hotel. It's not cheap, but about on par for parking in the quarter area. Nearly adjacent to the casino & riverwalk attractions. Just across the street from Bourbon & Decatur nite life, Royal Street shops, and several blocks from Frenchman Street. If you're looking for value, this hotel is worth the moderate price.

Room and bathroom as displayed on the hotel photos, adequate breakfast for free, waffles, cereals and microwave as well as pastries and fruit. Convenient location off canal street, with trolley and magazine street bus stop around corner from hotel and French Quarter opposite. Would book this hotel again if going back to NOLA.

We finally found an inexpensive hotel in a great location. It's a short walk to the quarter, but far enough away from all the noise. Good room, great bathroom. This isn't the Omni or Crowne Plaza, but if you want that, you'll have to pay for it. Our room was clean and cozy. Just take off walking down Magazine Street (which turns into Decatur after you cross Canal St) and you'll end up in Jackson Square!!! The breakfast is so so, but right beside the hotel is the "Ruby Slipper" and they have an awesome breakfast!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that's not right outside the elevator, or you'll hear everything all night!

Was surprised at the $28 for parking. Valet parking only. Be very carefull getting out of the car on the passenger side. You can get your door knocked off real easily.
Was within walking distance to The House of Blues.
Breakfast was ok. Ceral, waffles, bagels, toast, some fruit.

Room Tip: The room was small. No ice machine on our floor, had to go to another floor.

This hotel is priced well compared to other hotels in the french quarter. It is on Canal Street, only one block from the quarter. We stayed for four nights and had no issues. The room is not the largest, but adequate for two people. The bed was comfortable, make sure to ask for a room with a window. Shower was great, lots of pressure. We had a small table and a couple of chairs. Not much room to hang clothes, but does have a chest of drawers. Only drawback was lack of countertop space in bathroom. Free breakfast is just fine in the morning. Book this place and save yourself some money. It is in a safe area and not all the noise of bourbon street, but only five minute walk away from the action.

Room Tip: Higher floor with a window
