We stayed in the cottage in the rear of the property. This was our first trip to New Orleans, and we hadn't stayed inn a Bed and Breakfast in many years. We arrived to a warm and friendly greeting from the owner, Jess. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were sparkling clean, and you really are made to feel at home.
The cottage was beautiful, and set back a bit from the house, which offered a little more privacy. The breakfasts in the morning are five star, and absolutely delicious.
The only "downfall" is the location in terms of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter, and you'd be smart to take a cab back at night ($7 or so). In all honesty, I would even call this a downfall.
The prices for the rooms are reasonable, and you certainly feel like you get your money's worth, and then some. I only wish we could have stayed there on a recent trip, we just waited too long to book.
A wonderful place to stay!
Stayed March 2010.
