This was SO much FUN!!! Shava was funny and gave a lot of great tips! One of my favorite things I did while visiting this city. We made Jambalaya, Gumbo, and bread pudding. He even made them gluten free for me! A great experience and highly recommended!!

My wife and I were in New Orleans on a Business/Pleasure trip and thought we would look into a cooking class. This class exceeded my expectations. Scott was very entertaining and informative. All of the food he prepared tasted great. We will try and come back when a different menu is presented. Very good value.

Conveniently located in the French Quarter,it was the highlight of our recent trip to New Orleans. We have attended cooking schools here and around the world and this ranked right up there with the best. We attended a demo class starting at 10am which was taught by Nita. She was very pleasant outgoing and informative. We learned how to prepare File seafood gumbo, chicken fricassee, & bananas foster, Nita passed on alot of local culture and cooking skills. We have made a roux before, but she enlightened us with some finer points. Jackie made us pralines while the class was being taught. They were by far the best we've ever had. The quality of the food was outstanding. We were good for the rest of the day, and only had a light dinner. For what you would have to pay for a similar meal ($28-30) you learned cooking skills, got interesting recipes, entertained, and got to eat some wonderful food. If you are looking for something to do mid day in New Orleans, give the demo class a try. They also offer longer hands on classes, but we didn't have that much time. Demo class starts around 10am and is approx 2 hours.

My husband and I have been to New Orleans on several occasions in the past, but usually while one of us had business during the day. This trip was pure pleasure, and I wanted to find something different for us to do beyond some of the "typical" touristy stuff. This definitely fit the bill. We took the demo class with Chef Shava, and had an incredible time. Not only did we get to try some absolutely DIVINE Cajun cuisine, we learned A LOT in the process, both about cooking the cuisine but the history behind it and the city as well. Would definitely recommend!

This place is great!! All the staff are fantastic. Scott is a great cook and teacher and the hands on cooking class is exactly what it says it is...hands ON! We were there for 3 wonderful hours of great cooking and learning and left with all our great creations to take home as well as eating while we were there! It is well worth the money and is one of the best cooking classes I have ever done!! Highly highly recommended!
