Stayed both here and at the W New Orleans - I thought the Meridien was the better value proposition.
Big hotel with lots of rooms. The room configuration was a bit strange and it was a pity that there were not twin bed rooms available in the upper categories.
Sound proofing was truly terrible. Hearing the other guests nearby so clearly and being subjected to heavy metal music on a Sunday morning was a real low point. Bring ear plugs if you wake up easily to noise - the rooms are strangely clustered together.
I appreciated the birthday amenity sent up of a King cake which I thought was awesome.
Adequate bathroom amenities.
I liked how there were snacks in the reception area in the afternoon - definitely a nice touch.More
