Our first trip to New Orleans was enhanced by our 5-night stay at the beautiful Jazz Quarters, a wonderfully charming and relaxing B&B. Each room has its own style and personality. We stayed in the Mayfield, which had a lovely sitting area as well as a cozy four-poster bed in the adjoining bedroom. Our group of 10 (from both the West and East Coast) enjoyed scrumptious breakfasts on the veranda each day and afternoon wine in the beautiful tree-covered courtyard. The location was perfect for walking to most places from the French Quarter to the Marigny and the Bywater. Beyond the lovely décor and setting, we were charmed by the wonderful innkeeper, Lola, who along with husband Vincent (sadly we only met him on our last morning), make their guests a member of the family. Lola was a wonderful source of where to go for food, entertainment and so many other helpful hints. Everyone we encountered at Jazz Quarters was a delight, from owners Amy and Lisa, to Brynna, whose breakfasts have a wonderful culinary flare and perfect proportions, and Monique, who refreshed our rooms daily, was cheerful and reminded us to take our umbrellas when there was a chance of rain. Lola’s gregarious nature and natural warmth made our first trip to New Orleans all the more special. We certainly will return to New Orleans and to Jazz Quarters! It is a gem!

Spent 2 nights in the Connick Room (2 bedrooms & 1 bath). The complex is charming and very private. Lola & Brynn were our hosts. Very laid back and accommodating. Our 2 breakfasts were Crepe Suzettes one morning and something called a Haitian Bread Pudding another...fabulous.
Location is just on the edge of the Quarter so walking was fine for us. Between the hosts and other guests we got really good advice on where to go for what.
I was pleased to have found this place via Trip Advisor and would heartily recommend it for B&B aficionados.

What a wonderful retreat away from our own bed and breakfast in Montana! We arrived early in the morning to simply leave our luggage at the inn. Within moments, we were graciously welcomed to sit in the garden and enjoy a lovely breakfast. We've never stayed at another inn where the hosts were so generous and welcoming and the food so delicious. We just can't say enough about our experience. It was so relaxing to sit in the garden, listening to the water and birds and take in the lovely surroundings. This bed and breakfast is truly a little oasis in the midst of New Orleans and is both charming and peaceful.
Thank you Lola and Vincent for an amazing experience. We now feel like we have a second home to go to- we will be back!

Thanks, Elaine and Brady.
I can not think of a more flattering review than a positive one written by a fellow innkeeper.
We hope we will be able to visit your B&B when we are in beautiful Montana.
All the best,

Lola and Vincent

I solely picked this place b/c of its ratings on Tripadvisor and you guys didn't fail me!! We stayed in the Music Hall, which has four bedrooms, two baths, a small kitchen, and main room. While not overly fancy, it had a ton of character and charm. Lola was the perfect host, and very accommendating. The breakfasts were delicious, and the atmosphere was Southern friendly It is about a 8 min walk to Jackson Square and is at the edge of the French Quarter, so it's quiet, and peaceful. The courtyard is a great place to hang out and visit with each other. I would go back tomorrow!

The Jazz Quarters is located in Treme which is just outside of the French Quarter New Orleans.

The host Vincent, and his colleague Brynna were very nice and full of advice on where to go and we enjoyed our conversations over breakfast. Breakfasts were nice and home cooked, however, I would have liked a choice of fruit, breads, etc in addition to the cooked item that was presented each day.

We spent 4 nights in the Armstrong Room, which was really lovely and very nicely furnished with separate lounge area, nice bedroom, separate kitchen and large bathroom. The bed was comfortable but was unfortunately quite small. The Armstrong Room is right next to the main gate that all guests use to access and leave the Jazz Quarters complex. The room was quite dark, and because of its location near the gate, there is not a lot of privacy, so curtains could only be opened a little to let light in, and by the afternoon, lights needed to be turned on. There is a lot of noise from guests coming and going shutting the gate and talking and laughing, at all times of the day and night. Also, this room is directly on Phillip Street and opposite Louis Armstrong Park, and on several nights there were large groups of locals congregating near the park which resulted in a lot of noise and sleepless nights. While the room itself was excceptionally nice, I can not unfortunately recommend this room for these reasons, unless you are a heavy sleeper. One of the rooms away from Phillip Street and the gate would be quieter and offer more privacy.

We found the location of the Jazz Quarters to be fine during the day and earlier at night, but as the night gets later, we did not feel safe taking the walk back. While it is close to the french quarter, at night it is far enough away to not feel terribly safe on the walk back from dinner and drinks. As was suggested to us by more than one person, walk in a group of people (not a couple) or catch a cab.

The french quarter is excellent, so full of life and music and people ..... and the best restaurant is Irene's ....... you just need to book ahead, and even then, a 30 minute wait is the norm.

Thank you so much for sharing with us, it helps us learn, improve and become the best we can be. We've asked our handy man to help make the gate more quiet and are working to get sound machines in the rooms nearby. Both should help improve the experience for guests. Our goal is to make sure guests have a wonderful stay. Thank you for your thoughts and comments.
