We stumbled on this place as we were out cruising for a place to have dinner. This was a great accidental find. We almost missed it even though it was situated on a downtown corner of the main street. Glad we found it. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere was pervasive. We loved the chalk board menu on the wall. Unusual, but fun. We settled in for some of Colorado's Lizard Head Red beer, a couple of Southwest House Salads with Blackened Chicken and an order of Blackened Fish Tacos. Everything was superb. We'll be back here again next year and recommend this place to anyone passing through.

This place was right next to he cultural center. We were close by and hungry after the free Native American dancing. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

We were looking for a brewery when the name caught our eye and we decided to give it a try. Only one table was available but we were seated immediately. The service was a little disjointed as we ended up with 3 different servers but they made it work. The food was excellent including the bread pudding and cinnamon ice cream for dessert. Would definitely eat here again.

Came for dinner and the service was amazingly friendly. I ordered the southwest chicken marsala which was tender and well spiced was laid on a large half of a portobella which was also delicately spiced. Both of these were set on a bed of cilantro rice and surrounded by a creamy marsala sauce which nearly resembled a queso sauce. Overall very well balanced and flavorful. Additionally, for dessert I got the keylime margarita cheesecake which was light and fluffy with a delicious graham cracker crust and an outstanding keylime flavor.

Great little casual restaurant and bar; located on a corner in downtown Cortez. They offer a diverse and attractive menu, which a wide variety of options…salads, gluten free, vegetarian dishes, and carnivore selections.

The service was great. We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. I noticed that the wait staff operates and work together as a team. Throughout our meal virtually every member of the wait staff stopped at our table to fill our water, checked to see if they could freshen our drinks, check to make sure our meal was good. They are very attentive, helpful, and hustling.

For dinner I had the cinnamon chili pork tenderloin, which was delicious. The pork was tender and cooked perfectly. It was served on a Portobello mushroom on a bed of corn polenta with and nice butternut squash sauce. My spouse had the blackened shrimp taco, also delicious. They were served in fresh softshell tacos, with nice coleslaw. As a cautionary note for those with tender palates…both had a nice amount of spice and were delicious. I come from a region of the U.S. that has relatively bland foods and I love the southwestern culinary scene for its use of spices and chilis.

As far as prices go, I thought they were reasonable. I have paid more for hamburgers than I did for our dinners.

We will definitely return when in the area again.
