This place was OK, but definitely a no-frills motel. The price was very good. The one big drawback, however, was the inadequate air conditioning. The room temperature was over 80 degrees when I arrived in the early evening, and didn't drop into the 70s until sometime during the morning.

We were visiting Mesa Verde and had planned to camp, but the rain changed our plans, so we looked around Cortez. This place was one of the least expensive, and in this case, you get what you pay for. The bed was ok, the room was old but clean, the bathroom was vintage 50s/60s. The motel supplied a teeny bar of soap but no shampoo. The towels were also vintage. They needed to be replaced about 10 years ago. No breakfast. It was ok, but I am not sure I could get my wife to do it again.

This motel is out of the 50's but very clean and comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We didn't have a reservation and she gave us the online price, which we found that other motels will not do. It was quiet and the beds were quite comfortable. There isn't any breakfast and the office didn't open until 8:00 a.m. for us early risers, but overall a pleasant experience.

The check in process was simple and the front desk lady was nice. The beds are hard as a rock! I like hard beds and this one was a slab of stone. The place was CLEAN but dated. The towels were small and thin. The room next to us had a child that cried and was very loud. We could hear everything! Overall I don't mind dated but I don't like uncomfortable and loud.

Great Motel in the heart of the small town of Cortez. Very clean with that retro feel from the 1950’s. Easy access to Mesa Verde and the Dolores river. Front desk gentleman was very informative regarding places to visit.
