“Exceptional Stay. Outstanding Hospitality. Great Breakfast.”
Reviewed 4 September 2012

The staff at Wildwood truly raises the bar on outstanding service. The charm, history and elegance of this place totaly surpasses the predictability of chain hotels for around about the same price. David, Rebecca and the rest of the staff took care of our every need. Outstanding service. The breakfast alone is worth going for. Amazing 3 - 4 course meals creatively prepared and served in teriffic atmosphere. Fellowship with guest from around the country. Everyone feels at home from the warmth and hospitality provided by the staff. Last minute anniversary trip for us and hope to return soon. Would recommend it to anyone.

This historic home is just simply magnificent but what made it truly extraordinary was the hospitality of David and Rebecca. From the moment you walk in, they treat you as if you are family, showing you around and inviting you to make yourself at home with a snack or coffee (which, are included). The rooms are so beautiful and comfortable and breakfast is, in a word, amazing. Three courses so you won’t want a heavy lunch. They have even taken time to put together recommendations on where to eat dinner and are happy to recommend activities in the area or even arrange them for you. Definitely take the time to do the after-breakfast tour where Rebecca will take you on a trip back in time into the history of the home and the family that built it as well as the town of Hot Springs. We will most definitely stay here every time we visit Hot Springs in the future!

Room Tip: The Blue Parlor room has a balcony with a porch swing. Great for reading in the morning with a nice...

I decided to take my wife to Hot Springs for a nice relaxation weekend. So, of course I go to TripAdvisor to find the top B&B's in the area. Wildwood popped up and I was amazed that 100% of the reviews were either Excellent or Very Good. I booked a couple of nights and was both excited about the weekend and a little skeptical that the B&B could actually be that good. My wife and I have stayed at a lot of B&B's and some on the East Coast were some of the very best in the nation. So, how does Wildwood compare?

The best feature about Wildwood is David and Rebecca, the innkeepers. They have a warmth that is seldom seen in B&B's. David is a jovial fellow that can keep you entertained for hours with his stories and instantly makes you feel at home. Rebecca has that same warmth and can keep you spellbound with over a hundred years of history of the home and a tour that is beyond compare. The next best feature about Wildwood is the house. The woodwork is simply amazing and requires more than just a casual glance to truly appreciate the intricate details and thought that have gone into its design. The final feature that truly sets Wildwood apart is the quality of the food. The food is really good and Cindy works so hard to make sure that everyone is served quickly and is pleased with the meal. Don't miss out on breakfast!!! The conversation around the breakfast table is one of the key things that truly makes a B&B what it is.

The room that we stayed in was actually one of the suites across the street from the main house that is called the Moroccan Room. In my opinion, this is the nicest accommodation on the entire property. The reasons are that it is approximately twice the size of the rooms in the main house, has a lot more privacy, has a large Jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower, is an excellent place to sleep and relax since the window is blacked out in the bedroom, and is stocked with all kinds of goodies when you get hungry.

There are a lot of things to do in Hot Springs and I'll provide a couple of recommendations. First, if you have done the spa thing and want to try something different, then you might try a traditional bathhouse for a different experience. We spent the better part of a day at the BuckStaff Bathhouse and enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend the basic bathing package and a pedicure for guys. For the girls, you might try the same thing and add a manicure and facial. Do not get the massage!!! It is one of the worst you will ever experience. There is a great massage place in town called Thai-Me and that is the place to go. Second, for dinner you will want to check with David and Rebecca for some excellent recommendations. We tried Fishermans Wharf and found it to be mediocre seafood (don't get the stuffed shrimp since it is stuffed with some sort of crab cake filling instead of just crab that the menu lists) and tried Brau Hause and after all these years we still liked the german meatloaf, mushrooms, and german beer! We ate at Brau Hause about 9 years ago and my wife still remembered that german meatloaf! You might also want to try Fat Bottom Girl's Cupcakes. They are located just down the street from the B&B and have some pretty tasty cupcakes.

This was only a 2 night stay at Wildwood, however, that two days did more for my wife and I in terms of relaxation than any other stay that I can remember in recent years. Stay at Wildwood ... you will definitely not regret it!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this bed and breakfast and fell in love with the establishment and the innkeepers, David and Rebecca immediately. Wildwood is a historic home full of history, which both David and Rebecca (mostly Rebecca) expounded upon quite well. Rebecca gave a tour of the house, filling in details about the family and property that was as extensive, if not more so than other historic home tours we have attended in the past. Besides the history and the tour, Rebecca presents a lavish breakfast fit for royalty. The fare was so good and so filling, there was no need for lunch. Wildwood is situated close to downtown and several eateries. Additionally, Wildwood is close to the number of bath houses that specialize is healthy/healing mineral baths.
My wife and I stay at bed and breakfasts instead of hotels when traveling and we found another jewel in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thanks to David, Rebecca and their staff for a memorable stay. We will certainly make the 9-hour trip from San Antonio to Hot Springs again in the future.
Thank yo, David and Rebecca!

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique with different themes. We stayed in the Kipling room because of its private...

I have stayed at several B&B before but the warmth the owners, David and Rebecca, bring is far beyond any place I have ever been. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was out of this world. She even made special provisions for me since I am diabetic. When I go back to Hot Springs I will definitely be staying here. Thank you so much for a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
