This State Park campground and facilities are nicer than most privateRV resorts and at half the price at least. Most of the sites have recently bee upgraded and are very well laid out, have FULL hook-ups and 50 AMP. The restroom / shower facilities are also very clean and well thought out. IN the women's restroom there was even a shower stall with an accessible seat. The pads in most cases are pretty level with plenty of room to set up fires, chairs, extra tables, etc. Nice picnic tables are on all the sites we drove around and looked at. The lake is close with some sites looking out over the lake. Some of the sights near the lake have not been upgraded yet so be sure to ask before committing to a site number. Oh, the sites are also well marked as to whether they are reserved or available.

Loved the hiking. It was fairly easy hiking. Great fall colors! The trails were easily marked. The lake is very pretty. Saw a deer, grass snake and lizards.

This was a brief stop but well worth it. The hiking is not strenuous but the trails are picturesque and the park is well laid out and clean. Most of the camper sites sit on lake Catherine for easy access and I would think that sitting by the waters in the morning or evening would be quite a relaxing way to spend some time. Overall, this seems a great place to camp and hike. We definitely look forward to taking our fifth wheel there with out kids.

Very beautiful lake and park! Our main goal was to see the waterfall, which was available to view by boat or hiking trail. We chose to canoe there which started out beautifully! Followed the shoreline to the cove leading to the falls which became rather shallow and had to park the canoe and foot the short way up to the falls. Did our photo op and left, which is where we ran into trouble! Capsized our canoe shortly after heading back to the docks and my girlfriend can’t swim! Luckily we had life vests on and the canoe as floatation devices. Managed our way back to standable waters and dumped the water from the canoe before embarking back to dock. Unfortunately we both lost our phones but we survived!

Beautiful gardens located on the lake, with the gorgeous Anthony Chapel on site as well. The tulips in April are fantastic, and the Christmas lights are lovely as well. Occasionally, there are musical performances in Anthony Chapel, well worth the effort and cost of admission.

Met up with friends for a few days of camping at Lake Catherine State Park. This is probably the nicest state park I’ve ever been in. We camped right on the water and had a few beautiful sun rises. The campsites are level, full hook up, nestled among some beautiful trees. The sites are spacious with a lot of room between them. Also hiked to a small waterfall in the park that was so peaceful. I would recommend camping here anytime!

Night #1 Raccoons stole our food{Our fault) . Walmart within 30 minutes to restock. Night #2 Major Storm rushed thru and State Park Officials Checked on us before and after Storm....Night #3 Perfect Experience Fishing and Paddle Boating Rentals. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. The morning of our departure our SUV would not start. I went to the Camp Host Gary and He called the Park Rangers to assist us. We would receive a visit from a maintenance guy Jim. He helped us jump our car off with some Jumping Cables (Which I forgot at Home). The park is excellent and wonderful and the Staff is A+. they went out of their way to assist us.. Will visit again! With Jumping Cables :O) and better plan. Love all the staff.

The park is amazing. We did horse back riding and it was amazing. We also rented a fishing boat and went around the lake. The hike to the waterfalls is beautiful but if you want to get in the water make sure you bring water shoes because the pebbles hurt a lot!
