I can't remember the last time that I ate at this red lobster without being disappointed in either the food or the service. Latest example, we called ahead and asked if the could go ahead and put on names on the list. They said yes and that the wait would be around 30 to 45 minutes. We showed up 20 minutes after the call, and we were then added to the bottom of the list. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated after we arrived. Generally this wouldn't be an issue but we were told that we were added to the list when we called and then given an attitude by the person taking names who made it clear that they "do not take reservations" and wouldn't listen to me when I tried to explain that all they were supposed to do was add our name to the list. There were clearly empty tables that we could be sat at, but we still were stuck in the lobby for 45 minutes while others were sat in front of us. We were about to walk out the door when they finally called our name. We actually had our coats on were about to leave, and we should have continued right on out the door. Our table service was much better and the person was pleasant and helpful. The food as usual was lackluster and expensive. We tried their new dishes as shown in their commercials. All of which were ok. Nothing spectacular and nothing to go running into this place to try. If you are dead set on going into this establishment, just get some grilled or deep fried shrimp meal and call it a night. Bottom line is that they generally have bad service and ok food at one of the highest prices in town.
