I have stayed at Padma several times and have stayed in the Deluxe Room, Deluxe Lagoon View, Premier Room, Garden Club Chalet, Lagoon Access Room and the One Bedroom Balcony Suite. All of the rooms are furnished with good quality fittings and luxury toiletries.

The gardens are meticulously kept and they continually update the resort.

The rooms are kept fairly clean, but the sheets I had on my bed had stains. I asked for the sheets to be changed over and they sent two staff members to change them, but the second sheet had stains on it as did the third and fourth sheet. I gave up after that and asked them to leave the sheets as they were. The stains appeared to washing machine stains.

Paying top dollar for a 5 star hotel, I expect better than this.

There are several restaurants at the hotel, but only a few that can be accessed by outside guests. The S.K.A.I. Beach Club and The Café can be used for throughout the day and night. DONBIU and Tenkai Japanese Restaurant in the evenings.

The international buffet breakfast at DONBIU is excellent and one of the best I have been to. The food at the other restaurants is very good. The exception to this is S.K.A.I., I thought it was overpriced for the quality of the food that was provided. The pork dish I had was dry and very chewy.

The hotel has four pools, the main swimming pool and Lagoon pool, which is for house guests only and the two infinity pools which outside guests are allowed to use. Even though there appears to be a lot of sun lounges, unless you get in early you will miss out. We managed to get sun lounges in the smoking area, but smokers don’t seem to use these lounges and only come into the area to smoke.

My last trip to the Padma was one of my least enjoyable.
