“Great location, checkout experience a bit dodgy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2012 via mobile

A quick five days in paradise and we decided to stay in a resort, chose the deluxe chalet style accom. Chalet was very well situated, quiet and peaceful. We chose to swim at the Barong/lagoon pool, very relaxing. Staff are all very courteous. Breakfast is very busy with a fantastic variety.. I had a quick coffee at the deli one morning and found the staff very different to the rest of the resort ( not having a good day maybe) so I didn't return. My only gripe was a double up on checkout account ( from the deli) it took 20 minutes to fix which was inconvenient when you have to get to the airport. I had already paid for our accom when we arrived so it was only what we had consumed dueling our stay that had to be settled.
I had booked rerturn airport transfers and despite this we were bundled off into a blue bird taxi, which we then had to pay for so I found this very odd from the Padma as transfers were included.
Would I stay there again, hmmmm I think I may need convincing.

Dear Valued Reviewer,

Greetings from Padma Resort Bali!

Thank you for sharing a review of our resort on TripAdvisor.

I’m sorry that you experienced some inconvenient matters during your stay with us. In regards to the airport transfer, we need to clarify that the use of a blue bird taxi was only as the last resort as all vehicles were occupied on that particular time and it’s actually have been paid for. However thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Please don’t hesitate to contact my team directly should you decide to come back to stay with us in the future. We’ll ensure that your next stay with us will be perfect.

Kindly Regards,

Great rooms with direct access from your balcony to the pool. The rooms come with garden club privileges - free drinks at cocktail hour, afternoon canapes, and your choice of where to have breakfast. Our favorite was breakfast at Bella Rosa - much quieter than the buffet with a view to the beach, plus you get proper coffee!! (a huge plus for me).

The only negative is that the lagoon rooms are on the opposite side of the resort to the garden club so its a bit of a hike to get there which was often annoying. They may want to consider adding a second garden club to accomodate the lagoon rooms.

The restaurant and room service prices were high (comparitively) although you are close by to a large number of restaurants if you preferred to head out so this wasn't a huge problem.

The service was impeccable and we would definately stay again.

We stayed here in May 2012 and had the delux garden view room which was in a quieter part of the resort grounds. The room was clean and nice but not super luxurious. It was all we needed though. The gardens are beautifully maintained and interesting to walk through. The 2 pools are fantastic with great service/food. Could not fault anything with our stay here and would come back again for sure. The complimentary kids club/child minding was very much appreciated by us parents. The staff are great with the kids and helped make our holiday experience even more enjoyable. The buffet breakfast incredible. Well done staff! The only negative was the unusually high charge for hiring tennis balls and tennis rackets to use the court but that didn't bother us as there weres plenty other things to do.

Room Tip: Garden view rooms have more patio/balcony space and are probably a bit quieter compared to lagoon vi...

We stayed at this resort with children and old people and i would say it was flawless....all the age groups had a great time....Enjoyed every facility in the resort.....Kids club was great with lots of activities.....my daughter would want to go back again and again.....The pools were out of the world, with enough room for every one.....

Legian is a great place to be, very well placed to all the tourist spots which made this place even more convenient.....

Lots of shops and restaurants.....Indo National is a great restaurant close by....Great food and Great Service and great owner....very friendly....

Overall an awesome stay.....Totally recommend it....

Only negative is the beach, not that great.....A little crowded and not clean....

Stayed at Padma over Christmas and New Year! This is one of the most amazing resorts from room gardens to pool side I have experienced! We upgraded to the resort club! Well worth the money! Love Padma and would stay here in a heart beat again! The rooms are clean well maintained and comfortable!
