We visited in January 2010 and stayed in villa sambawa for a week. It was our first time in a villa and there is no way now my husband would go back to a hotel!
When we arrived home I immediately contacted Ainslie and confirmed sambawa & semara for my fathers 70th in January 2011 with extended family. We had another fantastic holiday, as there was 14 of us we tended to congregate in Samara, but anyone that wanted quiet time could go to Sambawa to have time out!
Both villas are spotlessly clean throughout the day, though there is a resident bat that unfortunately sleeps above the lounge in Semara during the night and makes an awful mess. The housegirls are very quick to clean it up on their arrival so it wasnt any real problem (the bat tended to sleep in the same spot each night, so nobody was keen to sit in the chair directly below if chatting and drinking late at night!). The staff have tried to stop the bat coming into the villa with blinds etc, but to no avail.
The villas are in a fantastic location within walking distance to Legian & Seminyak. Bintang supermarket is about a 20min stroll, the housegirls will get beer, soft drink etc for you just give them the money in advance. There are plenty of taxi's coming down the alley road at the front of the villas off double six, usually we only had a short wait. My brother-inlaw hired a car for a few days and left it out the front of the villa. Security is there 24/7 and we felt very secure.
I think the villas are perfect and hope that we can stay again in the not too distant future.

My worry in writing this review is that the secret will be out about this amazing hideaway in the madness that is Bali...
My husband and 14 year old son are currently staying at the Andari Bali villa's (Villa Sayana). We have been here 7days with 5 to go...and we would be happy to never leave...the villa is everything we wanted and more for our stay in this part of Bali..The villa forms part of 6 villas in the complex..you arrive down a small laneway Gang Bulan..and you have no idea from the outside and the surrounding streets what awaits you when you open the large wooden Balinese door out front...Step inside and it is like you have entered your own little slice of heaven...The first thing you notice is the greenery and beautiful kept gardens. The full size pool (about 5 1/2 feet deep) forms the centre of the villa. surrounding it is the living and sleeping areas.. one end of the pool is the huge day bed surrounded by mozzie netting if required..The other end of the pool is a bedroom which is like its own little house..has a huge bed and large bathroom... Oppositte the pool is the living area, which is a large open area (has a roof of course but no doors) which has a table large lounge with widescreen TV and a day bed....at one end is a modern kitchen and the other end has the main bedroom with king size bed and king size bathroom with a huge bath as a bonus...The whole place is immaculately clean and beautiful...The bedrooms have air conditioning and fans and the living areas have fans which are more than enough to cool the area down. Each villa has their own house girl who works from 8.30-4pm every day..Ours is Made and she is just beautiful..nothing is too much trouble for her..she asks us at the end of every day what we would like for breakfast and shops every morning for supplies..she makes the best nasi goreng and my hubby has had it for brekky every day since we have been here..she cleans the villa and even does all our washing and it comes back in the afternooon smelling lovely and ironed...you can ask her to leave at any time if privacy is required but she is not intrusive at all and they have their own little area out the back of the villa. She will also make any reservations for you if required or book a taxi if you need one. There is a pool man and gardener that pop in every morning to service the pool and keep the gardens looking beautiful...After travelling for 3 weeks this is the place we have come to where i have taken a big sigh and completely relaxed...It is about a 5 minute drive to Seminyak and maybe 10 min drive on a good day to Kuta, so very central. A walk down the laneway will bring you to small warungs and shops including a circle K for last minute essentials...There is not one bad thing I can say about the villa..We have loved every minute of being here..We feel pampered and completly relaxed...would I recommend it? ...Absolutey..would I stay here again?.. we are already trying to find time in our busy lives to rebook...Thank you Andari Villa... On a final note just want to say that the web site for the villas is exacty what the villas look like (which I know can sometimes be misleading)..

My fiance and I stayed in this Villa complex with 2 other couples from 25th March - 1st April. Everything about the villa was fantastic ie. location, surroundings, rooms and ofcourse our fantastic maid, Eloo! I would highly recommend these Villa's two anyone looking for a bit of privacy while still close to the action. The bars and restaurants around the area are great - you can either go down to the beach front and have a meal or a cozy drink at Cocoon or you can stay closer to the villa and have some really cheap but lovely meals. Shopping is also good around the area with lots of clothes, beads and bits and pieces. We also experienced the massage parlours in the area and they were both cheap and really well run with great services. Would definiately return to this 'gem' of a place and have recommended this accomadation to a few of our other close friends.

From the moment we emailed the villas to find out availability and received prompt, professional response to the day we left I could not find fault with this gorgeous villa.

I have been staying in hotels for years but am now converted to staying in a villa. The location is so central you can walk everywhere including a 5 min stroll to the beach front and gorgeous ocean view restaurants. Taxis run past the door step and the staff can organize a driver for you if you prefer.

The grounds are tended daily and pool is checked each morning. The bedrooms and cabanas overlook the pool area and our villa had a water feature which added to the serenity of this holiday. Cabana was furnished with lounges for lying around and reading and powered with light and fans.

Each of the 3 bedrooms had large King size four poster bed with mosquito nets and very cold air conditioning. Outside bathrooms with 2 bedrooms having 2 bathrooms in each room. Open plan living area with flat screen tv and DVD and stereo ensured plenty of room to lie around and relax. Free wireless internet is also provided.

A gorgeous gourmet kitchen with filtered water included and freshly made ice and pool towels and sun beds. Kitchen is equipped for 12 persons and there is nothing you need that is not provided. Self contained or the lovely house girl will make breakfast each day(she will shop each day for the ingredients you need for breakfast and your drinks and phone credit etc but you must give her the money) we enjoyed eggs and omelet and banana pancake and fresh fruit daily. Traditional noodles and rice is also recommended and we adores this too.

Staying in a hotel you are either in your bedroom or on the street however villa's lend themselves to having a restful time. You can swim 24 hours per day( outside shower) and can come and go at your leisure. Security on duty all night ensures safe sleeping and they can key you in if you forget your key.

Girlfriends came on this trip but the size of the villa lends itself easily to 3 couples and you would not all be on top of one another. The Warung next door does great food and coffee and you can grab takeaway and bring it back by the pool. There is also a mobile massage service so
you do not need to leave the building if a total rest is what you seek.

I would have walked past the villas many times in the past few years and not know they were there. Quiet and peaceful it is a find.

We stayed for 9 nights and want to return. You will be collected and dropped to the airport and Made the manager could not do enough to ensure a happy holiday. You can only pay cash no cards.

You will find them in the lane way at the back of the Kumala Pantai which leads through to Double Six street. This road is one way coming from Double Six and the Hotel Grand Kumala is across the road. There is a paved lane way running down the outside of the Kumala Pantai which leads to the beach.
