This is our second stay at Aquaterrace. We stayed in Ocean side room. The rooms are clean and spacious with amazing views. The pool is also spectacular overlooking Selang beach. The water is so clear you can see fish swim. Watching fisherman leave, return and unpack their catch is fascinating. The service is ho hum, disinterested at best. As a guest you have to initiate everything. The biggest concern was the driver. We were picked up from the airport at midnight by hotel driver. The driver was very nice but drove in a very aggressive manner, cutting corners, overtaking in an unsafe manner. We were frightened. We decided to find our own driver to take us to our next destination. The manager of Aquaterrace (not owner) suggested a friend who in turn suggested his “father”. Needless to say this driver was not the father of the other driver. This driver was terrible (unsafe, distracted and increasingly agitated) and after 5 hours was unable to deliver us to our destination, so unloaded us onto the side of the road and put us in a taxi. This driver it turns out is a regular driver for Aquaterrace. We found the sign used at airports in the pocket in the car. There is something fishy going on with drivers at this hotel. I suggest strongly you avoid using local drivers and use Kuta / Seminyak drivers who are more professional and charge less,...This is our second stay at Aquaterrace. We stayed in Ocean side room. PS the initial driver who was friendly with the manager works out of the little tourist kiosk on the beach next to the Good Karma. bungalows and warung. I’d be wary of organizing a driver through this agent. More
