We ended up staying at baliku for three days because of a little Bali belly issue and it was a great place to relax and recuperate. The room was gorgeous with a four poster bed, beautiful polished concrete bathroom, and terrace with a lovely daybed, carved wood details, and a to die for view of the ocean, the mountains, and a killer sunrise. The staff and owners were very kind and attentive, and the other guests friendly and easy to chat to. Lovely pool, and a selection of books to read! The gardens are insane- bougainvillea everywhere and so many other fliers! The hotel was seriously so gorgeous!
Unfortunately the food wasn’t super great- a lot of heavy French influence which doesn’t taste great in heat and humidity, and the Balinese food tasted as if it had been made quite bland for the tourists. It was well priced and well cooked, just a little heavy and bland for us.
WiFi is only in the restaurant area which isn’t really a downside just an fyi!
The staff and manager and owner were all so so helpful and kind with my being sick and it was well appreciated! Also you can rent scooters from them for very little which was great for getting into amed and doing a wander- it’s a really cute beach town with plenty of restaurants and some little shops, but it takes about 15 minutes by scooter to...We ended up staying at baliku for three days because of a little Bali belly issue and it was a great place to relax and recuperate. Lastly my wife did a dive with the hotels dive instructor and had a blast at the Japanese shipwreck- great and very safe instructor and the dive sight is right across the street! Highly recommend this hotel and dive shop.More
