This hotel is not like a hotel in real sense. The hotel is situated in Marungoor which is about 15 kms away from Kanyakumari. It takes about 30 minutes to reach there. The approach is very difficult with narrow road full with pot holes .If you travel safely up to this remotely placed hotel with no property or population adjoining it , you get a sigh of relief. The staff is very limited with one Manager doing all chores himself. The TV is fitted but not working. This status was same in earlier reviews of this hotel. Service is very poor as no one is there to listen. There is no intercom and one has to dial local landline number to talk to receptionist/ Manager/cook. Very few food items are available and you have to keep guessing what would be cooked today. Once cooked ,you have no choice. There is nothing nearby and you are at their mercy. Rates are very high for sub standard food.I am surprized what is great in this hotel. Children got bored in night without any TV at such a lonely place.

Room tip: Very good hotel for honeymoon couples. No one disturbing and no one listening. Great place to enjoy in cottage.

Resort and the facilities is just about average. Food is also not so great. Staff and service was okay. This resort is far away from Kanyakumari in an isolated place. You will find better options at this price in Kanyakumari itself.

We went there on our family vacation and loved every bit of 24 hours we'd spent

The resort is surrounded by Mountains and as a family we felt in real close connect in nature

Where else in this world you get to hear the music of winds and rainfall @ 1800 bucks (40 USD)

Add to that the personalised attention of hotel onwer Mr Raju with his great knowledge of local histroy & culuture and lip smacking meals by their chef (don't miss the tea & onion pakora's at sunset)

Also it's one of those resorts where with every passing hour the expereince keeps getting better, but with limited staff at resort be prepared for slow check in/out/housekeeping and basic restaurant

If you need any particular dish, the wise option will be to write to them in advance

if you're traveling with kids take them for a bird/peacock watching walk in their jungle area

Room tip: Breakfast atop their watertank

Location a bit remote especially at night but that is what makes it a secluded, peaceful place to relax, recharge and enjoy nature. Surrounded by mountains. We had a great time just being in our room or walking the grounds.

We discovered this hotel on one of the Indian travel portals. Though the access/approach to the Hotel was extremely challenging; particularly in the night, it turned out to be a wonderful destination to stay. The Hotel is in complete sync with the nature, barring those few hours that they have to run the diesel generator for powering the hotel when the grid supply is turned off. The hotel should consider leveraging wind energy, being in an excellent wind zone. The Hotel staff, though very informal were more than forthcoming, served great food and helped us with check-in , check out. The welcome tea/coffee was excellent. The traveler may want to carry battery powered torch light or something of that sort; should the hotel go dark while walking out of the room.
The access road is pretty bad, watch out for bumps and obstruction, safe with bigger vehicles. The Hotel has ample parking space.
Was a great experience in all !
