We love The Village Shops! It is a quaint little area that has the vibe of a winter village. The shops are a delight and hold little treasures!
During the day it was an awesome window shopping experience with a few hands on things that the kids got to touch, operate, etc. In the nighttime there were people dressed in authentic mountain people clothing walking the near by streets and playing mountain music that has been well known to this area for years.
Four years ago we visited on our honeymoon and enjoyed this quaint little outdoor shopping mall. This week, Monday, we arrived around 4. By the time we visited 3 stores, everything except the Doughnut Frier was closed. Really bummed, it was a beautiful afternoon and there were a still many stores we wanted to shop in. When looking up this location on Trip Advisor it lists open until 10pm, they are not.
This is a great spot to come stroll around and shop in a typically busy tourist town. The shops are nice with some great offering.
The Village Shops along the main strip of Gatlinburg are a family favorite of ours. The Village Shops are nestled just off of the hustle and bustle, where you can go to get a little respite from the business and relax while shopping. Coffee shops, Candy shops, soda shops, offer a variety refreshments while people shop at the Tervis store, bags store, shoe store, herb, vinegar and oil store, mountain trails hiker store, Christian store, and many others.
A great variety of shops. Prices are compatible with the area i.e. expensive. A fun place to browse.
