A great stay!

Just had a great stay here. We were in town just for the weekend to go to a music festival. We arrived early and I asked what time we could check in. Dogukan at the front desk was super helpful and actually found us a room that was ready without having to wait. This made a great first impression and really made things much easier for us. We will stay here again the next time we're in town.

We were very happy that we chosen this hotel in Brooklyn as we originally planned to stay in Manhattan. The subway was just few minutes away from the hotel and the area was quiet and clean.

The hotel itself was amazing. Staff were attentive. The breakfast was sufficient and items on hot section were changed every day.

The only one negative thing I would mention was that plastic cutlery, paper cups and plates were used during the breakfast. Coming from Europe where the enviroment is top priority for hotels and restaurants on how to eliminate plastic, I believe this is something that management should reconsider. Understanding that manning would possibly increase, however maybe some self cleaning stations would be great.

When planning to leave on a cruise out of Brooklyn, and not knowing the city, we decided to stick with a familiar hotel chain. We usually have decent luck with Hilton Properties.

I cannot say ENOUGH good things about this hotel. When we arrived (before formal check in time), Fletcher met us at the desk and offered us another room that was ready at that time since ours wasn't. He was so friendly and kind. We went up to our room, which was extremely clean. It was smaller, but it is new york. The bathroom was huge, relatively speaking. Bed was comfortable. Really no complaints. There are only 4 rooms on the floor we were on, so it was quiet. We heard a lot of sirens outside, but that was mostly it as far as street noise.

We went down to the restaurant, and while they weren't open yet for dinner, the bar tender was very attentive and kind. And when we could order food, it was extremely good. Every person we dealt with in the hotel from housekeeping to management and everyone in between went out of their way to be friendly. And we heard from 2 different people about how unique that place is because of how friendly the staff is. I would without hesitation recommend this hotel as well as stay here again.

We stayed here this past weekend to visit our daughter in Brooklyn Heights.
Pros:
Fresh fruit in am (fresh cut fruit---not canned)--decent enough breakfast (I had oatmeal with almonds, fresh blueberries and banana)..There were egg options, sausage, yogurt, sugary cereals, bread products, waffle maker
Proximity to subway
Friendliness of staff
Felt safe to me....not sure about other reviews regarding 'long term' residents---I never noticed or felt like was an issue
Clean
Cons:
I never expect to get great sleep in a hotel. I would say the mattress was adequate. Could use upgraded beds.
Rooms are small but doesn't really matter as we were only there for sleep.
Not a whole lot of privacy with bathroom sliding door--no fan--ick
Overall a good stay and we will stay there again next time!

Clean, comfy room with awesome complimentary breakfast (Eggs, Bacon, Waffles, cereal, fruit, juice, etc)! Central to Dtown and convenient pickup/dropoff for Uber and Lyft. Kind staff that was super accommodating, and there was access to Tea/Coffee in the lobby 24/7. Do put the bolt on the room door for safety precaution, a fellow guest thought my room was theres and almost opened my door - the front desk was quick to address the issue with the other guest having a misprogrammed key card. Check in/out was a breeze and they let me keep my stuff there before checkin at 3PM at the bell hop.

We just got back from three nights at the Hampton Inn and there were just a few issues that got in the way of me giving the experience five stars.

Pros:
- The staff are excellent! Kind, friendly, helpful, clearly have a great rapport with one another and a work environment they enjoy.
- The included breakfast was delicious and fairly wide-ranging. The western omelette and birthday cake batter for the waffle makers were particular favourites of mine (see below for a note about the omelette though).
- The location was close walking distance to shops and transit, making Brooklyn and Manhattan trips easy and accessible.
- Loved being so near the Target / Trader Joe's / Primark!

Cons:
- There was a lot of pork at the breakfasts, which means there was no meat option for my partner and child (Muslim) and would exclude folks who eat kosher as well.
- On one day the western omelette (with ham) was the only egg option, which was unfortunate. I feel there should always be a vegetarian option for eggs, at least upon request. We asked the staff and they confirmed that's all there was that day.
- The beds and bedding definitely need an upgrade, as they were not very comfortable.

Overall we had a great experience, and would gladly return - it was good value for the location. Fingers crossed they reconsider ensuring there is always a vegetarian egg option.
