Be ultra careful that the hotel is not sanitized to the standard. First, we've found one of the bath towels have a few yellowish spots. We had to comfort ourselves that it must be high-temp cleaned, so no need to worry too much.

Then, what horrified us is we've found a dead BED BUG on the bed the next morning. That was so scare and we had to pack everything and switch a room immediately. And that caused ~ 1 hour delay of our trip. After return to home, we need deep clean and high-temp dry all our clothes and belongings, what a hassle!

I agree that staffs there are very nice and helpful, as many of other reviews already mentioned. But we still need the basic cleanness/sanitation to be guaranteed.

I absolutely love the location of this hotel and the room that I had was not bad at all. I appreciate the hospitality that my family and I received while I was staying there. I will definitely book this hotel again.

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Brooklyn/Downtown and I can't say enough good things about our experience. We needed to be in Brooklyn the night before our departure on the Queen Mary 2 for a transatlantic crossing. We wanted a clean, safe, conveniently located, well maintained, and reasonably priced hotel for the night -- and this is exactly what we got. It's not fancy, but the building was recently renovated and is well appointed. Everything worked, even the shower drain! This is quite unusual for hotels of this type and cost. Moreover, the front desk staff was extremely pleasant to deal with and exceptionally helpful. I would be remiss if I did not give a special mention to Brian, who was absolutely terrific!

We elected this hotel because of its stellar TripAdvisor reviews and because of its convenient location near the Brooklyn Cruise Ship Terminal. If you are boarding a ship there, it's just perfect. I also discovered that it is very easy to get to lower Manhattan from the hotel, so it would be a great place to stay for a visit to NYC if you aren't looking for anything fancy and don't want to pay outrageous NYC fancy hotel prices.

We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit NYC.
