Serving as a category 2 hotel, this newly refurbished Hyatt (from a Holiday Inn) was our go to for our stay in Fairbanks.
The good things: location (next to shopping stores, Costco, etc), hot breakfast (potatoes, eggs, bacon, French toast one day, oatmeal, bagels/pastries), spacious rooms with wooden floors, and free parking. Rooms were on the newer side so bathroom and sink were all in the same area rather than the older Hyatt place layout that seemed to be dated.
The annoying things: the walls were pretty thin so you can hear people showering next door (same as above), shower head is pretty weak in strength, and understaffed (they ran out of bottled water at one point for elite members).
Pay with points rather than paying the dollar amount (8,000 points or $250+ a night?)
Wouldn’t mind staying here again though in Fairbanks! It is outside of downtown which I didn’t mind but it’s within a 10 minute drive!More
