I'm not going to drop my rating to 3, but it's getting close!
Just there for Thanksgiving with our entire family, and we hope we're not seeing a trend here. It just wasn't what we always experienced at Hudson's.
Here's the main reason why we were disappointed. The food at the "back" buffet (other than the mushroom ravioli) was barely warm! Most of the food on our plates went to waste, as it was cold by the time we were half way through what we had taken. There was sliced turkey, which was dry, but no baked salmon, which is one of our favorites. On the plus side, those mushroom ravioli were excellent!
Learning our lesson, all of us then went to the main buffet. The food there was hot and delicious, but still, no baked salmon. Cold salmon was provided at both main and back buffets, and was excellent, by the way.
One other note, no itemized bill. Just a hand written ticket. Our credit card bill showed the total, which did not match the hand written ticket. We were left to interpret the difference, which was tax and gratuity, on our own.
We gather the family 4 to 6 times a year, and used to only frequent Skamania Lodge, but they lowered their quality and selection, so we now gather at Hudson's.
We'll try again, maybe Christmas or Valentines Day.
I'll let you know how it goes.
