Drove up for the eclipse and most hotels were booked up or charging a crazy high rate. This place had a fair price and the staff was excellent. It is nice compared to others in its class and would definitely recommend. A little far from downtown Portland (25 dollar uber) but lots of food and stores located within walking distance.

Stayed: August 2017, travelled as a couple

Rooms have some odor, so we had to change. Bathrooms are very TINY, appears to be added later.

After looking into your stay , it appears that you never talked to the front desk person, nor did you switch rooms because of any problems. You had 4 rooms during that stay and no complaints were made about any of them.

The staff were mostly friendly, the place appeared clean, and the room was comfortable. Just a couple of nuances (good or so-so):

TV and Wi-Fi connection, good. One of our phones did not work in the room we had, but there are too many variable; not my favorite thing, the shower and toilet are separated from the sink, adjacent to the sleeping area, which meant waking the other person(s) if you were doing anything requiring using the sink.

There was no tub with shower curtain, which was fine by me. It was a reasonably-sized, almost "egg-shaped" shower stall with glass door. It was adequate, although the step in was just a tad high (not as high as a tub's side). In ours, the last morning, the door magnet pulled off the door (looked like it had been taped there, and tiles between floor and shower could use caulking, to prevent mildew.

The breakfast was basic, standard, see-it-everywhere, but the coffee was actually very good, and hot! The breakfast area, however, was far too small for the number of rooms.

Lastly, and I don't necessarily blame them, but because there was a special event in the area, the room was $50 per night HIGHER than the rate the following weekend. I didn't have much choice in travel dates, though.

May or may not stay here again.

Older hotel. Close to the mall if shopping is your thing. Room was okay. Pocket door to the bathroom was a little bit awkward. No tub. That wasn't a problem for us, but if you have small children it might be.

Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was all carbs. A huge problem for me. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast. I needed protein! And my daughter needed a gluten free, dairy free option. They did provide apples and bananas.
