I hate paying exorbitant prices for hotels, but I feel you get pretty good bang for the buck staying here.

Yes it's pricy, but it puts you in smack dab in the Historic District of Savannah. They have great valet parking (be forewarned though - it does cost extra). But the convenience of not having to try and drive in this congested town is well worth it.

Savannah has a ton of public transportation that makes it much more interesting and easy to get around. There is a trolley stop right outside the hotel which makes it super convenient.

As for the hotel, it is very clean and well kept , we had a wonderful view of the river from our room. All the staff including front desk, valet parking, housekeeping and the concierge were very helpful and friendly. They genuinely seemed to have their guest's welfare in mind while staying there.

If considering a place to stay at in Savannah, I highly recommend this hotel.

Can't ask for a better location. Very close to the river shops. Be sure to visit the Pink House for dinner and the District Cafe for lunch. Both are a short walking distance, and Leopolds for ice cream is a must. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Enough space to relax. Breakfast included and better than most, but we skipped one morning and had an enjoyable breakfast at Goosefeathers. Concierge and hotel staff are very helpful.

From the moment we pulled into the valet parking we were greeted by friendly staff. It was busy but they never made you feel rushed. Front desk was helpful as was Ed at the concierge desk who gave us all the info we needed. Randy - bell hop - was BEYOND helpful and so nice! Bags up to the room for us - we forgot something in the the car and he went and got it for us. When was the last time you had that kind of service?! Room was large enough to be comfortable and clean. Beds comfy and view was nice. Best of all - its across the street from River Street where everything is located! Will definitely be back!

First off, it's a Holiday Inn and not a high end hotel. But it is a nice place to stay. It's right on waterfront and accessible to everywhere in Savannah. Across the street is River street. Hotel was clean, staff was great and rooms are good size. Prices are good for waterfront. They have a pool on the roof, plus great views. We would stay again!

My husband and I drove to the beautiful city of Savannah for our honeymoon. We chose the Holiday Inn Express because it was right across from the water and we could walk everywhere in the city. When we got to the hotel there was something wrong with our credit card and the hotel was already full for the night. Tabitha saved us by getting us a room at the hotel across the street and then booking us at the Holiday Inn for the rest of our honeymoon. When we arrived at the Holiday Inn the next day, Tabitha greeted us with a smile and gave us the keys to our room. When we got up there, the room was overlooking the water and the concierge even sent us up a congratulatory bottle of wine! The hotel room was beautiful and felt just like our own little apartment for the four days we were there. Everytime we saw Tabitha in the lobby, she greeted us and spoke with us and we really felt like we were part of a family. I have been telling all of our friends about the wonderful experience and would highly recommend that anyone stay at this hotel that really makes you feel like it is your home away from home!
