All in all it is a very nice property, however there were issues that needed to be addressed. In all fairness Covid-19 has put some strain with staff shortage. Upon arrival there was only 1 bellman and we had to bring grab a cart and take our bags to the room. The Escape Pool Bar was the most visible in regards to the shortage, but in all honesty they handled it with tremendous service. I spilled my drink before the first sip due to the table being totally unstable and was immediately replaced. The rooms are in need of refurbishment but clean upon arrival. However we were shocked when we returned to the room at 6:00 pm to discover the room had not been cleaned. I called housekeeping to report it and was advised they do not clean them until guest departure. The bathrooms are very small no room for enlargement. The biggest issue are the doors that do not block out the noise level in the halls and adjacent rooms. We could hear almost every sentence from the couple next door and people in the hall. This is a major convention property and I am sure the lost of events due to Covid-19 hit them financially very hard. We had breakfast in the Aqua Star and it was definitely short of staff, but not enough to complain. The meal was outstanding and the server was pleasant. The staff across the board provided outstanding hospitality and I will certainly stay there in the future. It is so relaxing to not be on River Street but so close with the water taxi. We had a River Front Room and watching the humongous cargo ships is a site to behold.

Room tip: The Riverfront rooms are the way to go.

We booked a room in January 2020 for May 15-18. We arrived at the hotel at 4:00pm, the posted check in time. We were told that our room was not ready and should be ready in one to three hours. After a long road traveling, this was most frustrating to hear. Our concerns fell on deaf ears and the staff could care less about the stress they have caused us.

We hosted a Lunch & Learn conference here at the Westin in Savannah. We were their first conference since the Covid-19 shut-down. JinJin is their Events Planner/Coordinator and she was awesome, very responsive and quick to return phone calls and text messages to make our experience so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend hosting your conference here.

We stayed as a family at the WS during Spring Break in a riverfront one-bedroom executive suite. It had 1.5 bathrooms which was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed our stay and experience very much!. I had reached out to the hotel prior to state my concern for pet allergies since pets are allowed here. They took the time to ensure we had a pet-free room and ensured we got the riverfront option we requested. When I contacted them the day of our arrival, the front desk confirmed that indeed they had this room blocked off for us...not to worry. Well, that is high-quality service in my opinion and it eased all fears and anxiety that we had. The river view is exceptional and very soothing to look out of, big ships going by, the HD out yonder. Looking down at the firepits at night. Luckily for us, we were there on the weekend when at least a couple of food options were open. We enjoyed taking the ferry across to the HD and retreating to quietness at the Westin once we were done. That added to the ambiance. It was nice to walk around the gorgeous, well-kept property. The pool looked great, although we never go around to using it. With that being said, the room does show some age, hence the 4 stars. But our service was 5 stars! Although Covid is still a concern we never felt compromised. We will definitely return and do recommend it!

Beautiful location, clean room, great pool and splash pad for our daughter, and exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff! Will absolutely stay here again to have a gorgeous view of Savannah from the across the harbor perspective!
