My wife and I stayed here for a wedding. We got a very fair rate for booking in the wedding block. The staff were friendly and efficient and the welcome gift (some snacks and water) was perfect since we’d been out a little before checking in.
Common spaces were very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The event spaces were gorgeous, and the wait staff did a great job keeping everyone fed, hydrated, and happy.
Our room was clean and well-prepped. It lacked some of the finish that makes a hotel a 5-star experience. Old shower tile with messy grout. Inconvenient placement of TP roll. Very small bathroom counter. Old cable with the scrolling TV guide. I’d say everything about our experience was first rate except for the room itself, but it was still very comfortable.
If I were coming to Baltimore again for leisure, I probably wouldn’t stay here. That area of downtown wasn’t really lively or nice, so paying $25/night for parking seems wasted. I’d rather drive in if there’s something I want to do there and pay a little less. The best of my Baltimore experience is located outside of (what I assume is) the city center: Sagamore Spirit Distillery and Hampden Village.
But a nice hotel, friendly staff, and good value overall. More
