My husband and I stayed here during spring break. We stayed in the River suite for one night. We shoud have stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and had great views of the Columbia River and the town itself. We walked to everything, restaurants and museums. David and Pam were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, egg dish and a dessert in the dinning room with a view. We will be back, next time for longer then one day.

Our first stop on our March Break get away trip down the Oregon Coast. It was everything I had hoped and expected in a B& B. A beautiful old house, tastefully furnished, a comfortable room with a cute sun room overlooking the city, accommodating hosts who made us feel welcome, but gave us lots of space, binders with lots of info on the local history, and restaurant menus to pick from. And, an excellent breakfast, starting with a fresh fruit salad, with a great variety of fruit, followed by a delicious egg dish, with fresh guacamole, and hot sauce...finished with a nice little coffee cake. WE had a great night out at the brew pub at the bottom of the street. Wish we had more time to explore this very cool town!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sun (something) room-which had a little sitting sunroom, and full bath shower, whic...

We found the Rose River Inn to be in the perfect location, and a great place to stay. It's within walking distance of everything we wanted: shops, restaurants, and museums - and it was great to be able to leave the car and do all of our exploring on foot. Pam and Dave made us feel so welcome, as well, and gave us plenty of recommendations for places to go. We stayed in the River Suite, so we had a nice sitting porch to ourselves -- perfect for sitting with a cup of tea or coffee, and just relaxing. Breakfasts were generous and delicious, and the inn was nice and quiet. If we ever get back to Astoria, we'd definitely try to book ourselves here again.

Room Tip: We loved our room, which had a sitting porch. We did peek into a few of the other rooms, and though...

My sister and I stayed here for a night while traveling through the area, and we both loved it. The house has a great view of the river and town, and the owners' keep an amazing garden. We had the attic room, which was nice and roomy for the two of us (and we both had our own room within that room, which was a plus.) Both beds were comfy, the shower and claw foot tub were good, and the house was immaculately clean. The sitting area in the room was a nice bonus. We both loved the collectables decorating the place too. The owners were also nicely accommodating of my dislike of eggs when it came to breakfast (though my sister loved the quiche). Astoria is nice too, we both wish we had scheduled more than 1 day there.

We stayed at the Rose River Inn in October of 2011 and had an absolutely wonderful time! The Inn is very charming, immaculate and the view is awesome! The hot beverages on the stairs when you wake up - the best! Fresh fruit and freshly baked quiche for breakfast - yummy! And, the view of the water and the ships while you eat- amazing! Pam and Dave are the ultimate hosts. Not only are they very knowledgeable about the area and its history (the Inn itself is 100 years old!), but they make great recommendations for food and beverage stops. Astoria is beautiful! The column (the view is unbelievable!), maritime museum, lighthouse - so much to do and see. We've stayed at other Bed and Breakfasts, but this one tops them all!! We're already planning another trip. Looking forward to seeing Dave and Pam and the Rose River Inn again soon. Manny & Cheryl

Room Tip: The room with the sun porch and view of the harbor is well worth paying extra for! All the rooms at...
