Do you like walking? If yes go to next question, if no then find something else to do
Do you like walking by the water? If yes go to next question, if no then find something else to do
Do you want a gentle stroll watching the water flow by and looking at the Jacksonville skyline? If yes then you're good to go, if no then find something else to do

We parked at the Cummer museum and walked the circa 2.5 miles over the bridge to the Friendship fountain, had lunch and returned. Very pleasant although it was a very warm day

We often walk to the river walk and have the kids ride bikes or just stroll and enjoy the view. Its usually breezy and a very nice feature of jacksonville

Nice views across the river. The walk offers a place to jog or take pictures. Some reviews have mentioned homeless folks there but saw no signs of them on our trip.

This is one of the best and most beautiful walks in a downtown area of a major city in the United States. It is beautiful both day and night.

The views of Jacksonville skyline are stunning. The walk hugs the St. Johns River and at one point - under the Main Street Bridge - one finds themselves even with the water - a very nice touch.

My family really enjoyed our time on the River Walk.

I have read reviews here with complaints about tje lack of stores - that is true - but totally misses the point I submit. Instead of focusing on what is not here - enjoy what is - a beautiful urban walking path with stunning views.

Now, it is true - there seems to be a very large amount of homeless people in Jacksonville over running the downtown area (the mayor should address this - bad for travelers) and I do urge caution - never walk alone and don't carry valuables (no money) (maybe just one cell phone for photos instead of multiple devices) on this walk - but otherwise go - enjoy the walk.

Again, we enjoyed our time on our walk - just use common sense be aware of your surroundings and have fun.

Great view across to downtown Jacksonville. Came to visit our friends and see their hometown and this place is amazing!
