“What a great experience--FUN FUN”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2011

My husband & I took off for a couple days getaway & decided to try the segways. We made our reservations before we left home-easy. I was very nervous but they made it a piece of cake. We got to practice until we felt comfortable and off we went and what fun. The owners Greg and Maren couldn't have been more helpful and fun. If you've never tried it--Do,

“A unique tour that's great fun for all ages and abilities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2011

My husband and I and another couple took the one-hour tour, and our only regret was that it wasn't longer. Riding the Segway was easier than we expected, and the training provided by the tour company owners, Greg and Maren, was excellent. If you can stand, you can drive a Segway. It's more fun than biking and easier than walking on sandy island trails. Everything about the tour, from the operators' warmth and professionalism to the equipment to the scenery, surpassed our expectations. The nearby Sand Dollar restaurant is good for lunch before or after the tour. We're always looking for interesting things to do with friends and family from out of town, and this is something we will put at the top of our list. Can't wait to do it again!

“If you have physical ailments, this is the ride for you!”

If you have back, knee, hip or any joint problems and can't walk far, this is the tour for you to get out and see the island without ANY strain on your joints. If you can stand, you can ride one of these things. Cardio patients and people with lung problems can do this too. Great fun and adventure. The guides were great! Nothing to fear. Just Do it!

“Great tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2011

Our family just returned from a trip to Sea Island and Amelia Island. We had always wanted to try Segways and found ourselves with the chance in the perfect place. The tour of the area could not have been better. After a little training by Lynn, who was so much fun, and a little practice in an open field area, we felt like we had been riding for years. The tour was narrated by headphones and we were treated to very informative and entertaining narrative about the history, the topography and the flora and fauna of the area. We had a blast! I can't think of a better situation in which to try out the Segwsys, something I'm sure we will do again and again. In fact, we'll definitely go back to Ecomotion for the longer tour the next time we are in the Jacksonville area.

“Very nice tour wish it was longer though”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2011

I had never been on a Segway before and they explain everything you needd to know and even though I am pretty athletic and enjoy riding bikes, motorcycles, this was pretty easy. The true test was my daughter and wife who are a bit challenged when it comes to this type of thing, but they picked it up in 5 minutes. The Segways are really fun and these are the upscale versions built for trails "offroad" if you will. The family tours guides are wonderful and very knowledgable. They transmit the tour for everyone on wireless headsets and have lots of information and fun stories about the area, history and wildlife in the area. Although we took the shorter afternoon tour, I would take the am tour next time. Highly recommend if you like the outdoors.
