“Just perfect!”

We had a great time. Vista was perfectly located for our jaunts to Gettysburg, Antietam and Fredrick. We're usually a "been there, done that" couple, but we weren't on the road for 30 minutes before we were talking about coming back in a couple of years. Loved everything about our trip, and the area. Vista will be a cherished memory for a long, long time.

Thanks, Jim and Ruth Burken (and the pooches!)

Our family stayed in the house for three nights--it was almost too good to be true and at times I was surprised anyone would open it up to strangers. It is furnished nicely and very homey and the views are gorgeous. We all relaxed in a way that we have not when on vacation in the past. We all recommend it to families especially.

“Perfect home for getaway with friends, wonderful property hosts.”

We were 3 couples meeting to tour Civil War sights and D.C., but also to kick back and enjoy our friendship. The location was perfect for both touring and relaxing. Home had plenty of room for all of us and allowed for socializing and privacy, well equipped kitchen, very private location, great wildlife and birdwatching. The hosts live nearby and were available if we needed anything. They were so friendly and helpful and made us feel like we were at home. Home had no entry stairs and was accessible for a member of our group who uses a walker. Our whole group was impressed and would definitely recommend Vista House to anyone.
