I was expecting this place to have THE best cheesesteak ever!! It was cold and dry and GROSS! I guess it's only famous for being in the boys 2 men video. only go for the picture if your a boys 2 men fan because the food is absolutely disgusting!

One of two cheese steak places tried in Philly. This place is one of the originals and a tourist attraction . Simple orders ...onions or not, and be quick about it they have no time for confusion or questions . Did not like the slimy bread from all the cheese whiz that is used , but sandwich had great taste .

We had to come here and try the cheesesteaks since they're so famous. They really have it down to a science from the time you get in line you order and you have your food it's a literally less than 5 minutes. Very impressive. The cheesesteak itself was okay bu the meat tasted like they cook it then soak it in water , kind of a water logged taste. The onions were good, the cheese was plentiful and the roll was fresh. Just not a WOW factor with the meat. I have had better cheesesteaks for sure. They have the gimmick, a tourist spot for sure.

Here we go! The cheesesteak battle was one of the reasons we traveled through Philadelphia during our trip. We had to try Geno's, Pat's, and John's. Here is our votes, and there will certainly be arguments about it because we argued about it ourselves. Out of the five of us in our family, 1 chose Geno's, 2 chose John's Roast Pork, and 2 chose Pat's. They were all very good and we ate them all.

After a Sunday visit to the Museum of the American Revolution we took our granddaughters to Geno's for lunch, a first for all of us. Traffic in the neighborhood is crazy and the limited parking is better left to someone used to parallel city parking. We were lucky to grab a table as a group was leaving. Better to get on line after you have studied the menu and know exactly what you want because it's a speedy process and lingering at the order window is not appreciated. Who knew you order the burgers and pay for them at one window then move down to another window to order the drinks and fries and pay for them there. With 4 of us there we still didn't have enough hands to carry the food and drinks to the table quickly enough to keep the line moving! The cheese steaks are quite big and we really could have used a plastic knife to cut them in half for easier handling but we all managed to eat every last morsel as they were. The cheese steaks "wit" were okay. The fries were lightly batter dipped and quite good. Ambiance is hectic with traffic streaming past the red picnic tables streetside. Service is fast and strictly business. Prices were reasonable at about $65 for the four of us. Another item to cross off our bucket list!
