I picked Le Meridien due to the proximity of a concert my husband and I were seeing at the Trocadero on Friday night.(Mute Math) The rooms are modern and the bell staff as well as the concierge were helpful in giving us directions to the subway on Saturday. The hotel rooms are quite modern and suited our needs perfectly. (The hotel used to be an old YMCA, which you would never know from the inside or outside.) We ended up staying on the 9th floor facing Arch St, but unfortunately we did not have a full view of the park across the street as there was a gutter/railing in front of our windows. That said, we did not hear traffic below as we slept nor did the sun come in until we opened the windows as they had black out shades. (Great for those who want to sleep in a little bit) Overall it was really wonderful with an excellent location. If we ever make it back to Philly we will stay here again.
We found this wonderful late night Malay restaurant in China Town called Banana Leaf. For breakfast on Saturday we met our friend at Farmicia located in Old City. The food was amazing!
