“Several Unfortunate Issues With Positive Outcome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 December 2011

An attractive if generic hotel set in a prime location, (for convention center and museums and short walk to Market street) we spent Thanksgiving at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, beds and linens first class, and bathrooms modest but fine. There were a number of small unfortunate issues however, due perhaps to holiday understaffing, which stressed our otherwise perfect weekend. Not the place to air these issues, when reported to the hotel's management, they were very quick to respond. They were courteous, professional and left us feeling, instead of turned off, as valued guests. Would we use this hotel again? Yes. It provided good value in prime location of a gorgeous city, and we are now totally satisfied.

had a great stay, everyone was very helpful-but the bar was superb. The bartenders knew every drink and were the warmest people that I met in Philly, especially Janel and Minh. I almost can't wait to go back to Philly!

This hotel is right behind the convention center so would be a great location for someone attending an event there. For a vacation, I would prefer something closer to Rittenhouse Square or the Old City.
Hotel staff here is great. Very friendly and helpful. Ready to make suggestions for restaurants or to help with any problems.
Rooms are nice and well thought-out, although really small for more than one person. I was by myself so there was enough space.
Just on the other side of the convention center is Reading Terminal Market. Perfect place to find lunch or breakfast (market closes at 5pm) with about 30 different lunch counters. You can eat there or take away. Reading Terminal also has a huge fruit and vegetable stand and several coffee places and bakeries. Great for gifts to take back home, too!

I was in town for business recently and stayed two nights. The location, near the Convention Center/Chinatown area, was a couple blocks too far for a female traveling alone. I didnt feel very comfortable walking home once it was dark outside. The cab fare I spent each day to feel a little safer going to and fro could have been spent on an upgraded hotel.
The rooms were very comfortable. Smaller than I expected, but sufficient. Bathrooms were clean and shower was nice.
First night woken at 1am-ish for garbage collection on side of building, right outside of window. That was disruptive.
All in all, a good value but I would probably not return in the future.

Stayed here three nights. Awsome location for the Convention Center, Metro, etc. The staff is very nice to work with. Stephen the Manager is very helpful and knows the city well. The restaurant/ bar is nice as well. The food is good and the beer price is reasonable as well. Will stay here again for sure.
