“A great way to get from river to river and everywhere in between”
Reviewed 3 November 2011

The Phlash bus makes a loop from the Delaware River (Buster and Dave's) to the Schuylkill River (behind the Art Museum) and makes about 30 stops at popular tourist attractions throughout the city. A bargain at $2 a ride but $5 will get you an all day pass. The driver's were friendly and helpful. The stops are well marked and the map is easy to read. What a great way to get around a wonderful city!

“Good way to see the city”
Reviewed 19 October 2011

If you want a cheap way to see the city - $2 a ride - it's worth the cost. There's an onboard video of the stops, and a brochure of the route, that give you an idea of what's coming. Best idea is to read up on the area before you go, so you can plan your day. Don't be in a hurry as there's a long wait between rides, and they don't often stick to the schedule.

“Great Deal”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

We walked everywhere on our 3 day visit to Philly, but the Please Touch Museum was too far to walk, so we tried the Phlash for $2 a ride. It was easy to find the stops, the buses were clean and had plenty of seating, and they arrived quickly. The stop for Please Touch is right outside the entrance.

Note: Not all the buses are the purple color with "Plash" easily viewable. Sometimes the use other companies buses and simply put a small window sign saying "Plash" - we almost missed the bus on the way back....they just sat there, and finally I had to walk up and ask if it was the Phlash.

“Buy the Family Pass or one day pass for hop on/hop off traveling”
Reviewed 13 August 2011

I had read about this service before visiting Philly and I am so glad that I did. My husband is comfortable using the L but I am not. This is a nice alternative. It seems to only stop at the tourist attractions such as museums, and historic sites, which is what we wanted.
The all day pass for a family of four is 10.00/day or you can add the Independance Family Pass offered by SEPTA which included this trolley bus for all day on and of for a family of four for 28.00.
Because this is modeled after a trolley the seats are wooden. Hang on as you will slide. The buses move quickly through town but you are always on route. We stayed on it one day just to see what other sights and stops we might have been missing. The drivers are friendly for the passengers but tough on drivers who get in their path. '
One lady complained and the driver had an amazing comeback, "I get no pleasure out of displeasing you." Awesome. She made her point.
I would definitely use this service again if traveling with my family. After being on the regular bus, I did feel more comfortable(safe).

“A wonderful people experience for this old guy...in a new city ! !”
Reviewed 19 July 2011

After walking all day I fianally came upon my closing event......The Philadelphia Art Museum, only to be told by a lovely young woman the Museum was closed on Mondays. She chatted with me for a bit and made it clear she was quite proud to have recently promoted to supervisor and was sitting there monitoring the drivers arrivals and departures as well as tickets being issued or not. A bus arrived nearly 20 minutes ahead of schedule thus indicating the driver was not making the necessary stops as required. The driver was written up and when the correct bus arrived the supervisor moved people from the "to be detained for a later departure" to the newly arrived bus that was soon to be leaving. This young woman asked where I was going, advised me of the $2.00 charge and then thought for a moment and pleasantly asked if I was a senior. I replied that I was and she then proceeded to inform me that seniors ride free. A very warm gesture from a warm Philadelphia native, proud of her recent promotion, and representing her employer in a fashion that any company should be proud and made aware of. Great city, great people, nad many great experiences. Thanks Ms."S" for all of your help.
