Room 14 - It was perfect place for a family of 8 plus 2 small dogs. It felt like home. It has 2 separate bedrooms with 1 king-sized beds. Each bedroom (in the lower floor) has a bathroom. One of the bathrooms has a spa perfect for 2 people. The loft had 1 queen bed and a a set of bunk beds. The lower bunk bed has a full-sized bed and the upper bunk has a twin-sized bed. This accommodated 3 kids. The living room has a queen-sized sofa bed. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the things you need. We brought some food to prepare and cook during our 3-day stay. This helped us save some $ and used that $ to spend on outdoor activities at Mammoth Mountain (Red Meadows & Devil Postpile Monument Bus Ride), Zip Line, Gondola and Lifts. Sierra Park Villa has a a great location too, conveniently located and within walking distance to grocery stores (Rite Aid and Vons) as well as surrounded by many fine dining restaurants (Red Lantern Chinese, Seafood) and easy, quick food-to-go (Pizza, Starbucks, etc). Gas station is also located at the street corner before you head out either to the mountain (left) or to the freeway (right) direction coming out of the hotel. There were many choices of indoor games. Laura and the Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The price is affordable.
The villa is no doubt a favorite place for travelers. When you walk-in the room, you can easily see that it is run-down and needs serious updates (carpet-change and interior painting). It also needs deep cleaning (bathrooms), not just the room itself. Bed sheets do not smell clean and fresh. There is no air condition so we felt the heat (weekend of 4th of July trip). We slept with the glass doors open. And most importantly, we ran out of hot water in the shower. So, some of us took an "ice" shower.
Overall, we had a good stay. Yes, we will recommend to relative and friends. Yes, we will come back and stay. However, we will take with us fresh bed sheets and coordinate and schedule our shower time.
