“Over 15 stays at Snowcreek.”
Reviewed 7 April 2012

We just stayed at Snowcreek unit 786. It is a 3 bed/3bath townhouse. Very nicely decorated. We have stayed at different units depending on our group size. I recommend you pay the extra and stay in units in the Phase V as they are newer. The pictures on their website are a good representation of the units. Overall they are large units.

Room Tip: Look for rooms in Phase V.

When my friends and I originally booked our condo at Snowcreek, we were a little nervous to be a little distance from the mountain as we flew in and did not have a car. However, between the awesome free shuttles and easy cabs we were fine and it was so worth it!!! The jacuzzi after a long day of riding was amazing, the condos were cozy and really big and we had a great time all around. Snowcreek Athletic Club alone makes it well worth the vacation.

I've been staying at Snowcreek for many years. Skiing trips with family and with large groups of friends. The units are always spacious, modern, comfortable, clean and well-maintained. Snowcreek Athletic Club is a great place. It's sauna, jacuzzis and pool are almost a must after a day of skiing. I am always impressed with the service Snowcreek own reservation service provides. It's quick, efficient and no hassle. Late check out: almost never a problem, as long as nobody is moving in on the same day. And they are honest about it, unlike other reservation services, who somehow always have somebody moving in on a Sunday. Reservations are easy to make and change. On a couple of occasions they lowered my rate after I made the reservation! Just last weekend we were staying in a unit which had a TV in the living room which refused to work with an iPad we had. Almost as an afterthought we asked the office and lo and behold they brought in a brand new TV in under an hour.

It's my family's second time in Mammoth Mountain & decided to try a rental condominium this time. The unit was very clean and spacious. Everything is available and ready for use. All you need to bring is your clothes and food to cook. The bedroom has plenty of drawers & closets for use. The bed is large but a bit hard. Along the hallway is a nook bed that made my son feel like an adventure to sleep in. The sofa bed in the living room is comfy & good for two. A BBQ grill is available by the porch. And chopped firewood is available for the fireplace which my son enjoyed very much. WiFi is free and with good signal. Board games & books are available for use. Location is a good 10 minute drive to The Village, convenient stores & restaurants. We didnt try the bus, but i think the bus stop will probably be a 10 minute walk. Overall, I would recommend it specially for families.

We've stayed at Snowcreek 5 or 6 times after gradually moving upmarket in the Mammoth condo scene. To a large degree, you get what you pay for in condos at Snowcreek. You pay for size (1BR, 1BR + loft, 2BR, 2BR+loft, etc.) and for decor (standard vs. delux). All condos offered through the Snowcreek Resort have pictures on their website, so you can spend a lot of time picking through owner's decor.

Bottom line is that the condos are nice, they have pretty good access to the red line bus to Mammoth's main lodge, and the usual collective spa/saunas, plus the fitness center that we never go to because we're too tired from skiing/snowboarding.
