I was at Herald Square two weeks ago and stayed there four nights (business/academic). Good quality/price trade-off. I had read beds were confortable -- I confirm. Rooms are a bit small, and depending on where you aer located front street) you may experience some noise. CLinky radiators didn't help either, I had to wear ear plugs.
