Stayed here last wk,had an amazing time, where to start clean, tidy, spacious, great location and friendly. Went with 3 girlfriends we booked a 1bedroom suit, the suit had 4 huge wardrobes (big enough to get dressed in) a massive lounge area,a safe, microwave, fridge and a coffee machine. The beds were very cozy we asked for extra towels and they appeared with in minutes no probems.2 mins from central park,5 from Time square and if you happen to book a sight seeing bus there is a bus stop just up the road, had a lovely meal in the pizza place next door. This hotel is a fantastic find and really hope to go back one day :-)

We loved our experience at the Salisbury so much that we are planning on staying there again when we visit New York next time. The staff were wonderful, always helpful and very pleasant. The room was comfortable, clean and a great deal for the convient location to everything we wanted. Two blocks from Central Park, a few blocks from our Broadway Shows and connecting MTA trains to everywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone wanting to stay in Midtown Manhattan without the exorbinant price.

We loved our stay in Salisbury hotel. There was a Russian lady on reception :) The staff in general not so friendly as in other cities in USA, but rather helpful. The room was clean, no bedbugs, comfy beds. The Internet was disappointment - we paid about 30$ for 5 days and we had to call to the support three times because of blocking. The location is great! All the sights (Empire State, Central Park, Times Square) are close to it, at the same time the street is not noisy.

My family and I booked this hotel for our week long holiday in New York after reading the good reviews on here. We were not disappointed! We arrived tired & hungry on the evening of 3rd June to a warm reception. A very helpful man took our luggage up to our room and recommended Angelos as a good place to order take out from. Great recommendation, the food was delicious and we ate in the restaurant just a few doors down again during our stay.

Our room was on the 14th floor and during our stay we had no noise, street or otherwise. We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys. Our room consisted of a kitchenette area with dining table, a huge living area with sofa bed, nice furniture including writing desk and a large flat screen tv. In the spacious bedroom we had two very comfortable double beds, a double chest of drawers, very large wardrobe and once again a large flat screen tv.

There was also a closet inbetween the kitchen area and the living room which contained a small safe so plenty of room for all our belongings and luggage.

Yes, the bathroom was dated but spotlessly clean as was the rest of the suite. The housekeeping really should be commended as they do an excellent job.

We ate breakfast at the hotel a couple of times. It was a self service buffet with plenty of choice. My boys particularly liked the pancake making machine. At $9 per person it was very good value.

The location of the Salisbury is excellent. 5 minutes walk and you're in Central Park, 10 mins to Times Square. There is also a subway 2 mins walk away.

The only small niggle I have was with the staff on reception when we checked out. The lady who dealt with us was indifferent, didn't smile or ask if we'd enjoyed our stay and was more interested in getting back to her phone. There is also no free wifi but we could live with that. We would definitely stay here again and I have already recommended it to two families.

We stayed at the Salisbury Hotel back in March for six nights. The big pluses for this hotel are bargain prices, terrific staff, and one of the best locations. It's two blocks from Central Park, a block and a half from Fifth Avenue, and walking distance to Broadway theaters. It is not upscale at all. If you're looking for a clean, well located hotel with excellent staff, but don't want to pay Waldorf prices, the Salisbury is a solid choice.
