Enjoyed our breakfast, however not blown away, but still worth trying...maybe we weren't in the right mood. Lovely staff.

Had brunch. Only 5 min wait to get a table. Had the herring tasting small plate - very tasty. We also had the eggs Benedict (very good and the eggs were cooked to perfection), sunny side up and potato lakes (latkes were big and crispy and delicious) and chopped salad with whitefish (very good too). Place was clean and water was professional. Will definitely return.

We loved this restaurant. The Jewish cuisine was totally unfamiliar to us but our waiter who was extraordinarily helpful informed us what each item was and whether we should try it. I don't usually like smoked salmon but this was exquisite. This is definitely a must do for any holiday in New York. They have a few outlets but we visited the one under the Jewish Museum of Art and Culture near the Guggenheim.

I expected such a famous restaurant to be crowded, but it was not. Service was friendly and the smoked salmon a delight! Try the unusual cucumber salad. We wanted to try the ice cream sandwich, but they were out. Next time!

This place is a NY staple and I can see why. Delicious smoked salmon (I prefer the hot smoked over the cold smoked) and a great brunch. Their bagels were only ok though.
