“Clean and comfortable”
Reviewed 3 August 2012

Just between Tribeca and Soho, close to Canal Street you would think it would be very noisy but the rooms where isolated. Good subway communication just under the street and close to shops, restaurants and sightds. Rooms are big enough for a one week stay, clean bathroom, comfortable bed and very helpful staff.
The price was a bit higher than I wished but of course accordingly to what you get in New York.

The room was spacious, especially for NYC, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you are looking to get away from the tourists then stay here. The neighborhood is nicely located near SOHO, several great bistros, and wine bars all within walking distances. The bed was soooo comfortable, we slept sooo well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I just returned from a 5 night visit to NYC for a family reunion/sightseeing. This hotel was fantastic. It is located in Lower Manhattan, just 30 seconds from a subway station, within walking distance to Little Italy, Chinatown, the 9/11 Memorial, and a little further is Battery Park, where the ferries to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are found. The reception desk personnel were friendly and accomodating. I had booked a Tribeca View room, but was given a standard room. When I reported this, my room was changed, and for my "inconvenience", I was given breakfast tickets for my entire stay. Actually the Tribeca view room was a bit street noisy at night--traffic, police, subway noise, etc. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, even the hair dryer worked well. The complementary wireless worked well, we received a copy of USA Today every morning. When we returned to the Hotel in the afternoon, fresh coffee and delicious fresh baked cookies awaited. On the downside was that the elevators were a bit slow, and for 2 days, only one worked, and the A/C was a bit noisy, but worked well. I would definitely return to this hotel at some future date.

Room Tip: Ask if your room is overlooking any construction or any delivery areas. Workers start early, and d...

Stayed at this Hotel in May. Have been to NY a few times now and have done the obvious Tourist sites, so decided to stay in Tribeca/Soho area of Manhattan and was not disappointed. The hotel was great for our long weekend break and well placed for all the sites/shops and restaurants in the area. 2mins walk took us to Broadway(downtown) where the shopping is flabby. Restaurants were great from great diners for breakfast to Nobu for some fantastic sushi. Hotel had a great little restaurant great for breakfast and a little pantry where there were a few vending machines to buy some snacks, toiletries etc that you might want. Edwin the concierge was brilliant, so helpful and always smiling - great asset to the hotel. Next time I am in NY I will certainly be staying at this hotel. Last point, Subway right outside hotel taking you all over Manhattan, so you can see all the Tourist Sites if you've not been to NY before

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Tribeca and on a high floor.

We have stayed here twice in the past couple months. Our daughter is in NYC for a summer internship and staying in an nearby NYU dorm room. We initially booked at the hotel because it is very conveniently located near her building. We had such a good experience staying here when we moved our daughter out to NYC that we stayed on our second visit as well (and my daughter's boyfriend also stayed here for 4 nights and had a good experience). Everyone at the front desk was polite and more than friendly! Our room was very comfortable and clean. The beds were very good. Location is great for getting to Battery Park, Freedom Tower, etc. The hotel is located right in trendy Tribeca and close to SoHo. Canal Street, which is close by, has a couple of subway stations and you can get to midtown, upper west and upper east side quite easily. All in all, very reasonably priced and a nice place to stay. And if you need to be close to the NYU dorm on Lafayette Street, definitely stay here!
