A huge restaurant over 2 levels with a unique atmosphere being dimly lit, with Asian artefacts & paintings selectively highlighted.
The menu is quite extensive with choices for most palates. The dumplings & porks buns were excellent. The Hong Kong waffle for desert was also excellent.
The relaxed atmosphere & very professional service makes you want to stay & continue eating!
This is not a cheap eat, more of an upper class Asian restaurant.

My wife, adult daughter and I attended Buddakan in August, 2016 as it was quite near our hotel. Buddakan is no "Diner" and is a quality restaurant serving plentiful and delicious meals stylishly presented. Our table was on the main level, not downstairs which suited us quite well as I have difficulty with stairs at present. The waiting staff were prompt and very friendly, particularly taking plenty of time in explaining the specials, menu choices, etc. We were also offered a variation on a menu item so as to accommodate our daughter's taste. The wine list was expansive and pricing quite reasonable but not cheap. I had ordered a dessert from an out-of-date menu, for which the waiter was quite embarrassed at their mistake. No problem, I just ordered something else and when it came time to pay my dessert was deliberately not charged for as a courtesy by management. We will return to Buddakan given the opportunity to stay in or near NYC in the future.

This is one of my favorite places in New York for dinner and drinks.

Last night will never be forgotten. Our waitress was the best / most knowledgeable! Super sweet person that brought is this special wedding dessert.

The duck was out of this world, all appetizers were perfect sized as not to over eat and spoil dinner. Great location to Chelsea Market. Great value for gourmet dinner. Super popular place so make reservations

Quality! From service to food to ambience. Had an intimate feeling like you're the only two in there but you know the joint is jam packed! Get the cod, finish with the pudding!
